Dropped by this inconspicuous looking restaurant (at least from the outside) on a Monday for a quick lunch. So glad I did!It's very dimly lit inside, and has a very serene vibe (you almost forget you're in Huntington Beach). Their lunch box for $12 is a total steal! Fried rice was yummy, tempura was on point and the sashimi was great. I wasn't a huge fan of the skewered meat and teriyaki chicken (a little too chewy and sweet).Polite and efficient staff. Just on a side note: I don't know what their sushi is like, the sashimi was really good but definitely not the best I've had. Will definitely be going back for a full out dinner!

Whenever I have lunch with one specific friend, this is our place. I canât really comment on lots of dishes because I always get the teriyaki lunch. I like the shrimp tempura and veggies with the chicken teriyaki. Yummy. My friend gets the beef without the sauce. She likes the flavor so much she doesnât want the sauce. Staff is always friendly and doesnât rush us. Itâs a lunch for chatting and we appreciate not feeling like we need to vacate the table. We do leave a generous tip. Itâs located in the Bella Terra shopping center.

Japanese food by actual Japanese people. Having traveled to Japan in many occasions, this place is refreshing. Very authentic in its menu offerings and preparations. Sushi was fresh, and a wide variety is on hand. Steak was tender, soba noodles were excellent. Nice wine list as well. Even some by Orin Swift.

The place is clean, bright, and quiet. I tried the chicken teriyaki dinner ($10.95), which was a large serving of dark meat chicken, steamed rice, and iceberg lettuce drenched in creamy ginger dressing. I don't care for dark meat so this was a disappointment. When the server asked if I wanted to take the rest home and I said no, she said they'd take it off the bill (note -- for better chicken teriyaki dinners nearby, I suggest Kabuki or Matsu).Hubby had the sashimi dinner, also with rice and the drenched iceberg salad. He liked it, particularly that it came generously adorned with finely sliced jiccama, which he appreciated since he no longer eats rice. Both dinners came with miso soup, which we both enjoyed. We were also served complimentary edamame, which was mushy and unsalted so I didn't have much of that.Service was excellent, prices reasonable.

Stations unmanned & only one server in entire restaurant. Wait for drinks. Wait and hit ringer for desserts. Wait and hit buzzer for Brazilian meats. Wait and hit buzzer for Mongolian bbq. Wait for refills. Wait for check-in. Wait. Wait. WaitUnmanned Brazilian Meats had cold meat waiting. Many customers line up for service at various stations and wait & wait & and eventually leave, out of frustration. While some of the food items were OK, many were not.Believe Todai Japanese Buffet used to be located here. Restaurant located inside Westminster Mall with both outside and inside entrances. Weekday Lunch is $15.99, plus tax. Beverages are extra. Tap water free. No plans on returning.
