The hotel recommended this izakaya to us and we went there for dinner. This is a family restaurant where locals dine in. Down to earth and humble. Tempura was fresh and the size of prawn was huge. It has 3 large size prawn and one large slice fish. Rice was delicious on its own. Highly recommend if you are hungry and have a big appetite on the day.

Absolutely my favorite in NYC. The best chirashi and uni I have ever had! Prices are very reasonable and affordable. A small restaurant with no fancy decorations. But definitely a jewel in the crowd city.

Having been around Hokkaido for a couple of days, we had really great food at great prices, sushi, genhis khan bbq, sashimi, ice cream parfait ....So coming to this place with a seafood market, we were expecting more of the same quality and freshness. We were truly dissappointed. The chirashi don bowl was stale and chewy, while the steamed uni with egg looked nothing like the picture and was mediocre at best.It looked like a tourist trap, and unfortunately, we followed some bloggers recommendation here instead of tripadvisor. Bad call by us but after driving from Obihiro in the morning, we were already tired and just trying to find a place to eat.Not recommended under any circumstances.
