Masa Sushi Sake

We arrived at about 4:30, too late for the lunch menu. When we told the waitress we didn't want the huge dinner meal she said we could share, which we did. I got the miso soup while my husband had the salad with ginger dressing. Both were very good. We shared the teriyaki chicken and I took the fried rice and ordered a side of steamed rice for him. Even though the servings of the chicken and veggies were halved there was still a lot of food. Dessert with the meal was ice cream and I had the plum wine flavor. It was very good. We were both stuffed. The chicken was very good but the rice wasn't the best I've had until I mixed it with the chicken and veggies. Then it was okay. If we decide to return we would do it for lunch when the prices and servings are a bit smaller. Service was good and cheerful and the seating comfortable.

Unless you travel FM 646 between League City and Dickinson, you may not know about this little strip center gem--I didn't until I saw the sidewalk tables with red umbrellas. The interior doesn't suffer from bright, impersonal florescent lights, giving it a more cozy vibe. The young Vietnamese waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items which represent Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese & Chinese cuisines. I opted for thin egg noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp & green onions which was good. Tried a half-order of Viet eggrolls which tasted good but were awfully small. The server said they have an excellent sushi chef. I'll get back for sushi and to explore the tempura items from Japan and Korean bulgogi.

Aiya Sushi & Ramen

Our family of 4 tried this out Friday night. We loved it! It is a small place. We went there once before when it was another sushi restaurant. I like the fact that they've lightened up the interior. It's also very casual. You seat yourself, get a menu, decide what you want and then walk up to the counter to order and pay. The sushi is very affordable. I had a tiger eye roll which was delicious. I also had beef ramen. The bowl was HUGE and I had enough left over for lunch the next day. My wife had a special roll (don't remember which one) but she loved it. One of my kids had a kids combo which he loved. It is very affordable, the food was served quickly and everyone was really nice. We will definitely be back!
