I visit this restaurant at least 2x a month. This is a very consistent and good sushi place in Wappingers. They have Happy Hour every day from 3-5:30 where many rolls and appetizers are discounted. This is my favorite sushi place in Wappingers.
This place has more than just Japanese food. They have the usual tempura, lots of sushi & sashimi choices. They also have some Thai food. Nice to have the option. The server was friendly & efficient. There were 4 of us & we all ordered different things. Everyone was satisfied with their food. I had the shrimp & veggie tempura - very good. My wife had the Pad Thai, which was also very good. We spend our summer in upstate NY & although this was a 20 minute drive from where we stay, we have friends in this town & may be back.
We absolutely love sushi and japanese cuisine, so when it came to visiting a place with a name like "Mr. Sushi", we expected mundane meals. We were so wrong!Mr Sushi has not only the most eclectic AND authentic variety of sushi, but incredible hibachi and environment, too! As we have dined at Mr Sushi numerous times, it would be a bit difficult to list all of the items we've ordered!! But rest assured, you will not be disappointed with the location, food, staff, and experience that Mr Sushi has to offer!
Enso Japanese Fusion & Sushi restaurant opened December 2014. We decided to have dinner there last night. The decor is modern and welcoming. The service was excellent but the main attraction is the food. Absolutely delicious. The menu is varied and there is enough to choose from for any ones palate. I ordered a Miso soup which was delicious. Lots of tofu and seaweed. Then I had a vegetable Gyoza that just melted in my mouth. The sushi is fantastic. I ordered a Special Rainbow Roll. Beautifully presented on the plate and the tuna, yellow tail and salmon was perfection. It had just enough kick to it. My husband ordered a Bento Box. There was enough for two. The Beef Negimaki was tender and succulent. The Box came with shumai, soup, salad, three pieces of negeri, and shrimp and vegetable tempura. This was only 16.95. We also enjoyed a hot sake for a cold winters night out. We ended the meal with a Chocolate Lava cake and ice cream. Prices are reasonable. Service excellent and the food wonderfully satisfying. I highly recommend this eatery.
