Reviews on Sushi food in Marigot, Saint-Martin, Caribbean. The principal town and capital of French St. Martin, Marigot is an appealing spot with brightly colored houses, a scattering of restaurants and lively produce and crafts markets. It’s a great base for exploring St. Martin’s secluded beaches (many clothing optional) and its more vibrant, family-popular ones. Marigot is within easy reach of the famed restaurants at nearby Grand Case, said to have the Caribbean's best dining. Kept temperate by trade winds, Marigot stays warm and sunny year-round.

Our restaurant is specialized in traditional Thai food and traditional Sushi/Nigiri. It is a family held restaurant. We emphasize in using fresh produce from prime quality as much as the island allows it. We use fish from local fishermans as much as possi
Chay's is wonderful.I lived in Thailand for a few months in 2014 and I cannot express my excitement when I find a Thai restaurant that tastes like authentic Thai food. The waiter/cook/manager is Thai and he was hilarious.Very personable, accommodating, and provided excellent service. The seating is outside, which can be problematic if you don't wear any insect repellent. The restaurant does provide those burning mosquito coils underneath the tables to help with the mosquito problem. If you're not dog-friendly, you may have a problem with the two dogs that were lounging around. I love dogs, I found them cute, and they weren't interested in begging for food or trying to rub against me, so I found zero problems with this.It boats a very laid-back atmosphere. It is Marigot, a French territory, so smokers are to be expected.Cigarette smoking doesn't bother me, but it is something to take into account if you are sensitive to this kind of thing.Anyway, EXCELLENT value for the wonderful meal.I ate there twice, simply because it was delicious and I wanted another taste of Thailand before leaving St. Martin. My only disappointment was that the only fish they had to offer was Tuna, and I am not a fan of tuna.

We showed up for dinner during happy hour, which was unplanned but a bonus. We enjoyed some basic sushi rolls, excellent calamari, gyoza, and a sirloin prepared deliciously and cooked to perfection. A chocolate fondant gateau capped the evening. Service was pleasant and efficient! A pleasure to dine here.

I went to LE 14 again. Let me tell you : now they are specialized in Corsican type food, and it definitely is a great choice. My battered gambas were absolutely delicious, the salad was tasting great with fresh products (tasty mango, tasty avocado... most often on island they have little taste!). My partner's meat was delicious, his polenta... well I stole some from him ! The kids steak was proper fresh tasty minced meat, and my daughter said "at last some proper homemade fries", because they were indeed vreay good. Even the kids ice cream was so tasty, it made the dinner perfect. The wine was good too, and the limoncello to finish with, divine.I will definitely go back, I understand why locals stick to the place, andI congratulate them on reducing the choice to offer now what they do best. Ok it's now in my favourites on the island with JamRock, Tropicana and Beyrut.PS : they were great with the kids, making it a happy family night out.
