We happened upon Z Thai when we were in the area and wanted some dinner. We were greeted and seated by a hostess right away. They werenât that busy even though it was Saturday night. They had a menu that had Thai food as well as other Asian favorites. Prices were fair. We started with shrimp tempura which was good. Husband had a rice bowl that was heavily flavored with something I finally figured was Chinese Five Spice. Okay if you like that but he doesnât. I had beef lo mein. It was good. As a few more diners were seated it was clear that they were understaffed with only one waiter, a hostess and a food runner. Our server never returned to ask if we wanted our drinks refilled. Actually all he did was take our order and bring us the check. It could be that is one reason they werenât so busy on a typically busy night â food and service that is just okay.

Since 2009. Always fresh sushi & sashimi. Best japaness sushi restaurant in DFW. Good location. Lunch special.
Walked from a nearby hotel. It was nearly empty on a Thursday evening. Friendly service and Sushi was good.

This is a great place to celebrate special occasions or have an entertaining meal. The chef cooks right in front of you using special effects with fire, egg tossing, and spatula spinning fanfare. Each table is set up for eight, so if you don't have eight in your party, you may be sharing a table with strangers. If there are more than eight in your group, you'll be at different tables. Anyway, the food is delicious and you get ALOT of it. We've tried fried rice from many other restaurants, but nothing beats Jinbeh's. They have the best fried rice, so it's a must to add it to your order.

The food is really great and every time I come here I leave frustrated. There is usually only one lady serving and she is terrible. Today it took me 30 minutes to get a cup of soup. I ALWAYS have to go and search for someone to get my bill processed. Soup and sushi I should be in and out in 30 minutes but I am still waiting. They need more servers.
