Right across from ANA Crown Plaza Hotel is this sushi restaurant. Though it says itâs a âkaiten-sushiâ or belt-conveyer service restaurant, when we visited it in the early evening of Wednesday, the conveyer wasnât in use. In fact a sushi chef told us that the conveyer system is mostly in use on weekends only. We were seated close to the chef and ordered our choices to him directly. If you were a little far way from a chef, you can write down your choices on an order sheet and give it to a server. Once ordered, serving was quite quick.They have a menu with colour photos and pricing, so ordering in non-Japanese shouldnât be a problem.This sushi restaurant chainâs headquarters is in Wakkanai, one of the seafood capitals of Hokkaido. They prominently (in Japanese only) post the dayâs catches; we enjoyed scallops from Wakkanai in the far north and hokki-gai (surf clam) from neighbouring Tomakomai. They also had some very good eating white meat fish such as sole and sea bream. Spot prawns were frozen import from neighbouring Russia.The chef was willing to engage in chats with us. Very pleasant.We ate a total of 11 plates for JPY3,369. Younger or hungry people can easily eat ten plates per person. The figure was without drinks.

Sat in front of the sushi counter, the chef 's skill set is excellent, fast and neat, one fetch of consistent amount of vinegared rice and prepare the sushi in such swift and correct way!Highlight was the anago sushi, served grilled with sweet sauce which melts in the mouth and blended perfectly inside your mouth ! Taste like red bean paste in texture, marvellous. Though the Otoro, Awabi , uni are all fresh and delicious!

Revolving sushi restaurant near Chitose Aquarium, located nearby Salmon bridge.Offers 500JPY set sushi during lunch hours. Other than this set menu, A set of 3 all different salmon sushi collaborated with master of Chitose Aquarium, can also be ordere at around another 400JPY.High quality sushi at reasonable price

Just wanted a quick, delicious dinner for our first night in Japan. Obviously we didnât do enough research because this was so disappointing. The service was immaculate but the sashimi choices were just too adventurous for our taste. Definitely go here if you want sashimi & are willing to pay top dollar for it.

Iâm divided on actually posting a review. Why? This is a secret gem - an amazing sushi restaurant in the commercial podium of the airport.You stand up and order from a screen. There are places for 14 people. Last night there was a line of 30 or more - at least an hours wait. So if Japanese are willing to cue for a sushi restaurant you know that it is special. The name is actually Sushi 57 - not 52.....

Tasty sushi, some items like Ohma maguro are expensive. All the chefs are energy and very friendly. Both salmon arajiru soup and crab soup are big portion, crab soup, which is completely different from teppo jiru, with whole legs and body meat. Their smart tag system is also quick and handy.
