Narita Japanese Sushi Restaurant

We were looking for a restaurant serving an early dinner, something beyond the chain restaurants so readily available along the I-95 corridor, something really good, and something a little bit special. We found it at Narita. Located between I-95 and I-295 it is a family run restaurant; our waitress who is now in college said she "grew up" there. The food is fresh, service is good, and the staff is patient with folks like us asking questions. There were three adults and a 6-year old in our party. Our orders went in different directions -- sushi, soup, dumplings, and a "box dinner" filled with really good Japanese food. Beer and wine are available but we ordered a pot of green tea and never had a single regret about our dinner. It was good. Our son and granddaughter who live in the area had never before eaten there. They will return and so shall we.

Kabuki Japanese Steak House

I generally order take out from here as hibachi is a favorite of mine but this is the closest to my house. Others are 15 minutes or more away if I want a quick takeout meal. I've dined in twice with this review being based on my recent dine in experience. The individual that waited on me provided basic customer service and was friendly. I ordered the hibachi filet mignon and shrimp combo with fried rice. There is a $2 charge for fried rice and they throw in noodles with your meal. I can tell the portions have gotten smaller and are definitely not worth the $30 I paid for it. I've been to many other Japanese restaurants and have gotten extremely full with still leaving with a to go box this time I barely was full and had absolutely not left to take with me which is how I determined that the portions are very small. Paying $30 for food that isn't of great quality is the reason I probably will not return here. Also, the other locations I've experienced the fried rice is included and the prices are a bit cheaper for much better quality.

Wasabi Sushi & Hibachi

We ate here early on a Thursday evening around 5:30 so it wasn’t crowded. The waiter was attentive and fairly knowledgeable. They have happy hour, and we had a couple of glasses of the house merlot. I believe it was Robert Mondavi. Nothing special but a good price. For dinner, we ordered Tuna Tataki, Seafood soup, a Christmas Roll and a Superman roll. The tuna part of the tuna tataki was very good; however, I wish there was more of the cucumber salad. It was actually just some matchsticks of cucumber. The Seafood soup was a huge serving. It was mostly vegetables with 2 shrimp and 2 very small scallops. It also had the “fake” crab meat which, IMHO, could be left out. It was weird to me. The soup base is fishy tasting so if that umami flavor isn’t pleasing to you I would skip it. We loved the Christmas roll. The shrimp tempura was crunchy and all the other ingredients were fresh and delicious. We weren’t as fond of the Superman roll only because it had strings of, again, that “fake’ crab meat laced around it. Other than that, it was very tasty. We would definitely return.
