It's not a five-star restaurant but a five-star ambiance and quality of service. You can try many different pieces of beef, explained on a small card, pork, chicken, chicken hearts, lamb, sausages, etc. Waiters come in a ballet tempting you for even the thinnest piece. There's a pasta station where they are cooked to order with your fancy of sides and sauces. And then, of course, the all-you-can-eat buffet with sushi, fresh parmesan, beef carpaccio, many salads and a few hot dishes. All of this for $22 + drinks.

This Japanese restaurant is adjacent to the Vitoria hotel which makes it very convenient for dinner. We went there 2-3 times for dinner and had various appetizers which were all excellent and very tasty. Dinner portions seemed generous. I tried salmon one night but found it way too dry. Their menu is delivered via tablets (very bright ones in an otherwise rather dark environment). Communication in English was a little tricky but everyone managed. Delicious food, wide selection of meat. Great spread at the salad bar too, although I saved stomach space (a precious commodity) for the meat.Price-wise, this place is very reasonable for what you are getting.Will definitely be back here when I stop by in Campinas.

Kilo restaurants in Brazil are very popular. Kind of large buffet with many options, from sushi to barbecue, but instead if a fixed price you pay by weighting the food you placed in your plate. Good service, excellent meats and good salads, let alone, the sushi and pasta dishes.

Sumirê was a nice surprise. Friends suggested the place and we went there for lunch. Everyone was quite happy with the food - even as completely different choices have been made. I tried the Tonkatsu (deep-fried, breaded pork cutlet), and it was excellent. The dishes are very well served (I was unable to finish mine). The service is fast and courteous. We were able to get a "room", a walled place where you can seat on the floor after removing your shoes, but there are lots of western-style tables with chairs.I have included Sumirê in my list of restaurants to return to.

Ate here while on business in Campinas. Really good Brazilian Churrascaria with great service. The salad bar had a wide selection of really good food. They also served sushi for those that want something beyond the large selection of meat. The meat served at the tables was excellent. Sit out by the patio and enjoys the fresh air. You can get three levels of rodizio, depending on the variety you desire. While the service and food are good, it got to be a bit repetitious as they would bring the same item around. I prefer to be able to order from a menu and choose my next course.
