UPDATEÂ A new operator ... great presentation ... why not seasoned those Prawn Tempura?Wafu Steak made of sliced meat, first time for everything, not medium rare as ordered, instead well done on the hotplate. I have been going to Samurai for years for their unbelievable three-course set meal menu. Since the new renovations, and an upgrade to the touchscreen system (which is fun in its own right), unfortunately this meal deal is no longer available, much to my disappointment. The venue is fresh and lively, and welcoming. The food is of its usual excellent quality, and the prices are still reasonable (but not what I had been experiencing for so long in the past). The sushi is still delicious, but sadly I will no longer travel here just for that purpose. I still recommend this place, if you live nearby.

This is simply the most authentic sushi/sashimi takeaway in Melbourne. There is a conjoined Japanese minimart if you have a craving for green tea or Meiji chocolate.

We dined here mid week, and were lucky enough to be seated in the window. Always fun to watch the passing parade.We were, however, distracted by the food here. The presentation is to behold. A pure delight to look at. And as a bonus, tasted even better.My partner enjoyed the tasting menu. He thoroughly enjoyed it.I decided on Gyoza as an entree then Seafood Teppenyaki as a main. Both really delicious.The internal space has been decorated as well, and has been done really well.We will return with some family to try this again.Well done to everyone in making our dining experience a very l,easing one.PS. It is BYO wine only, but there is a fully stocked bar.
