One of our favorite restaurants in Santa Cruz county. (Note I did NOT say just Boulder Creek!) The sushi is excellent---get the original rolls; they are fabulous and fresh. For some reason, their miso soup is the best I've had at any Japanese restaurant. (Once I was ill and craving their soup and when I came to pick up my to go order, they gave it to me for free.)Service is good, if a bit spotty when they are busy. However, they are always welcoming and we've never experienced any egregious mishaps. The tables next to the river offer beautiful views!

Hidden behind a Taco Bell on a busy corner, decent sushi at very reasonable prices. Restaurant was clean, service was friendly and prompt. Quantity is clearly a draw here but the quality was certainly acceptable. The $10 two item lunch is a real deal and the perfectly ripe fruit in the Bento box was a nice touch. Daughter had tempura udon and they correctly serve it with tempura brought on the side for the customer to dip. We were on the later side, 1:10 so were seated right away and food came quickly. Good value, I would eat here again when in Scotts Valley/Mt.Hermon

The atmosphere is very inviting. Sushi San is clean even after a whole Sunday of serving customers. The restaurant though relatively new has a large clientele so the word about the freshness and tastiness of the meals must be circulating.I ordered Tobiko Sunset which was beautifully presented on a long narrow divided white dish with the wasabi and ginger in their own sections. It was beautiful with the quail egg on top. The taste equaled the look. I also ordered a Soft Shell Crab sushi roll. The taste and texture of Sushi San's version of my favorite sushi roll was absolutely first class.
