Personaly i feel like i was dining in an old platteland hotelHello A TA Member,I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your dinner with us. We appreciate all reviews! I am however a little confused as to the rating you gave us, the rating doesn't match your written review? You gave us a 0 for atmosphere? I do hope that it was just a oversight! But if it was not, could you please elaborate on your rating? How can we improve our atmosphere? Please contact me via email on [email protected] RegardsBendré van Zyl

This is a great venue, especially for children. We went on a Tuesday where we were greated with a smile and friendly service. The beer was cold and delicious on this very hot day. I ordered a meal which included spare ribs. The ribs were so dry that they were inedible. I think they were left over from the weekend and warmed up. If you want to visit here, go on a weekend when it's busy, and their will probably be fresher.

Big Creek Spur Steak Ranch in Vredendal is a family-friendly restaurant that serves the best ribs, burgers & steaks. Bring along your kids for some great tasting food & dessert from our famous Spur menu!
My hubby is a Spur fan. I guess it is the spare-ribs that has him hooked. Speaking for myself, I still have to find something on the menu that would entice me to go back for more. I like healthy food and I find most of what I had ordered in the past to be very oily or starchy. If I had many other options I would not visit the Spur. About 20 years ago Spur restaurants had the most wonderful healthy "home baked" bread with raisins and seeds in it. I would love a platter with that bread, paté and cheeses. They also had apple pie to dream of. What happened to all of that? Their desserts seem very plastic and unhealthy.Dear Des195,Thank you for the review of our family restaurant. We appreciate your feedback. If you would like to discuss this further, please forward this on together with your contact details to [email protected] and we'll get in touch with you.Kind regards, Spur Steak Ranches
