I visited the Talpore restaurant on a busy Saturday night with my Grandaughter before going to the Showcase. Even though the restaurant was very busy we were greeted with a warm welcome. Ronnie our waitress was helpful and attentive, she had excellent knowledge of the menu and even came back to check our food was alright after it arrived. The food was cooked to perfection. We certainly will be returning

Had heard a lot of good things about this place so we decided to give it a go. Itâs a small place, smells of damp and we were shoved on a table at the back on the most uncomfortable benches which were half a foot higher than the chairs on the other side of the table. It was comical. Ordered the seafood combo (£25) and Iâm pretty sure I could have got the same from Iceland and heated it in the oven. Breaded squid (soggy), three prawns and a couple of tiny scallops (they werenât King as described on the menu). Kiev mac and cheese was greasy and flavourless and the coleslaw was just as drab. It wasnât awful food, but for £25 you expect a lot more for your money. I also tried a homemade âlime and basil ginâ and it tasted of soapy dishwater. Wonât be coming back which is a shame.
