Visited Santa Lucia recently with my family. We have previously been disappointed after visiting another Brazilian-inspired steakhouse in the area, but rather than drive downtown to feed our carnivorous cravings we decided to give Santa Lucia a try. My expectations werenât high going in, but when we walked through the door I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and warm reception. It feels upscale, but not stuffy or formal. Like most Brazilian steakhouses, they start you off with a buffet-style self-serve salad bar with various cold options and vegetables. The sweet spicy, thick-cut bacon is worth mentioning. As soon as we came back to our table the parade of gauchos with delectable grilled skewers began and didnât stop until well after we had all eaten more than we should have. I have to note that while the food was very good, the service they provided was absolutely top-notch. They took note of what we liked (without asking) - for example chimichurri sauce was on the buffet. Iâm not generally a big fan of it, but we discovered that it was excellent. We never had to make another trip to the bar to get more; they noticed or overheard that we liked it and they made sure there was always a fresh bowl on our table. All the staff members who served us were on-point, but one of the gauchos named Achilles charmed our girls with his smile and humor and kept us laughing while he made sure we had our fill of our favorites. The food may not be the absolute best Iâve ever had, but it was very good. And far better than we had at the other local place. But the service was some of the best Iâve ever had anywhere. Overall, they exceeded our expectations on every important aspect of our visit. Well-worth the price we paid. We will definitely return, and can certainly recommend - with a couple of obvious caveats: the price is for all-you-can eat. If you arenât particularly hungry, or if some of your party are young children or donât typically eat much, you might not feel like you got your moneyâs worth. But we certainly did!And we enjoyed tasting a wide variety of delicious grilled meats. And donât miss the chance to try the grilled pineapple - itâs surprisingly terrific, too. We went with a party of 6, but it was 3:30 in the afternoon so they werenât very busy. We ordered nothing special.....steaks, salads & sides. We had to wait forever for bread, constantly had to ask for more water, had to wait about 10 minutes for our horseradish with the prime rib (shouldnât that be automatic?) and Sharon our server seemed completely disinterested in taking care of us. Food was good, so they get a 3 star instead of a complete fail

Waiters and hostess were very nice, friendly, attentive. Although restaurant is in a small strip mall the atmosphere was very nice. We went on a Tuesday night with a party of 10 and had no trouble being seated. Tuesday night is family night and those in our party who were over 65 got a 10% discount. Karaoke is supposed to happen on Tuesday nights but when we left around 8 PM it had not yet started. The restaurant charges $25 for adults with discounts for children. It features a fairly good buffet and does serve alcoholic drinks. The main feature are the various types of meats that the waiters bring around to your table. The problem with Samboâs is that there were too few waiters to serve the amount of customers at the restaurant. They never brought enough of any type of meat to serve our entire party of 10. We had to wait approximately 10 minutes for another type of meat to be served, again not enough for the entire table at one time. Most of the pieces of meat were nugget size with only one or two types of meat served as a very thin slice. The end result was that a third of our party had a nugget sized piece of meat and then waited 10 minutes to get another piece of meat. The meat was pretty good, featuring steak with bacon wrappers, Garlic steak, Parmesan steak( I think) very salty lamb, and thin slices of beef (some type of steak, (I couldnât keep up with all the various types of meats).Sambo Steakhouse is half the price of Fogo de Chao and the amount and variety of food is about half of Fogoâs also. It is in a part of Atlanta that may be more convenient than downtown Atlanta for folks OTP ( outside the perimeter). Dress is casual. Again, the staff was superb. When we were there there were two birthdays being celebrated with parties of 10 or more. With more wait staff and larger pieces of meat this would have been an excellent evening out.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon while running errands around town! There was no wait, sat at a booth, wait staff was friendly!I ordered Burger & fries, rib eye steak & fries & the other guest ordered buttermilk Chicken Sandwich! All were very good, came out fast & hot! Server brought over nice warm washcloths for our hands! That was a nice touch because it was a very chilly day!

I ran across this place on my way to another town the other day and made a plan to take the wife here. What a treat! I've been to Brazilian steakhouse before but this was really wonderful. At $25.00 a head the pricce was fantastic too! You won't be disappointed at all. We're definitely coming back to this little gem!

Steakhouse we stumbled upon and what a great find!!!! Love the atmosphere, friendly, relaxed, cabiny feel. Our server Ken, was great! Steaks were beyond perfect! Definitely get the prime cut! Mac and cheese was delicious. Desserts looked amazing but we were too full to partake! Definitely will be back!!!

We decided to celebrate my birthday and son-in-laws birthday here. We arrived at 5:30 and had very little wait time for a table, there were 6 in our party. Our waitress was very attentive and explained the specials and menu to us. We placed our drink orders and received them in a timely manner. I tried the mango tea and it was wonderful. Husband enjoyed the fresh squeezed lemonade and we all loved the pickles we had before ordering our meal. We had a variety of meals, pot roast, burgers, turkey and dressing and fries. The burgers came with fries or onion rings, and the pot roast and turkey came with mashed potatoes w/gravy and carrots. The carrots were to die for. Cooked to perfection and tender. To finish up our meal we ordered several desserts and the two birthday celebrants got a bowl of ice cream with a huge cookie with a candle on top. The service was great as well as the delicious food. When we left, there was people waiting for tables and parking lot was full. Don't know if they accept reservations, but that would be a suggestion if you are dining after 5:00 or with a large group. Thanks to this establishment for making this a good birthday celebration for our family.Thank you for the great review!
