Delicious food, great service and a nice atmosphere. What more could you want when dining out?. Our server, Jim, was very attentive and also very engaging. He made suggestions on the menu and we were not disappointed. I had the filet of sole, which was delicious. My husband had the veal saltimbocca, which he said was awesome. We weren't rushed through the meal and lingered over coffee and dessert. The ice cream for dessert was divine, made at a local NJ plant and only sold to restaurants, unfortunately!. We will definitely be back when in the area again.Thank you so much and thank you for taking your time to send a review! I will let Jim know how pleased you were with him and next time you can request him. Have a great weekend!

When you're looking for good food with family, a drink with friends, or even just a place to watch the game, come see what's cooking at the Mason Jar! We believe that variety is the spice of life so our menu is all about options. Choose from a crisp salad
While the food is good, it's not worth tolerating the service. We were a table of ten, so I understand some difficulty, but not like this. We waited 15 minutes for a waitress who took our drink orders and was gone for another ten minutes. When she did return, she only brought half of the drinks, came back with all but one, then returned with the last. We waited another ten minutes before she came back to take our food orders. We specifically asked her if she wanted to know how the check was to be split before we started ordering. She did, and appeared to write that information down as she took orders. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food, which is understandable with such a large party; however, only one or two entrees at a time appeared, and these were all served by different staff members. The food was good, although some had gotten cold as we waited for everyone to be served before we began to eat. After the meal, our waitress came to the table with one check. When we reminded her how the check was to be split, she began bringing one check to the table at a time, asking each person what they ordered before she went off to calculate the next check. The one-at-a-time routine began all over again as she took our checks. As usual with large parties, a gratuity of 20% had already been added to each check. I should have refused to pay it, but all I wanted was to leave. We wish you would have requested to speak to a manager.....The Mason Jar must apologize for the lackluster service....for whatever personal reasons our server had a melt down....One of our floor manager's helped out when she saw our server was not performing up to snuff...Next time you come in please ask to speak to me, Ira Kaplinâ¦..Again we know there was a problem, and hopefully it is now corrected....Thank you for your attention and letting us hear from you.

We received an e-mail coupn for a free Bloomin Onion and decided to take advanatage of the offer and go to Outback for dinner. We were moderately hungary and ordered only the Bloomin Onion and the steak quesedilla, to share.1) The onion was avwery greasy, only positive was that since the last time, the breading was less salty.2) The quesedillad was almost indedible. Too cheesy and greasy. The scant strips of steak were OK.3) We only ate two pieces and decided to take th remainder home to try to make it more pleasant. 4) To add insult to injury, we had requested cocktail sauce and asked for some to take home.. Our server, brought the leftovers to our table in a shopping abag den said your cocktail sauace is right here.Upon arriving home, i unpacked the bag to refrigerate th leftovers. Surprise, no cocktail sauce, Only, an empty styrofoam container. This is not the way things should be. We'd like to review this further if you could please take a moment to send me an email at [email protected] with the subject "TripAdvisor - Suffern, NY". We can then correspond directly over email.
