The room is wide open with very high ceiling (probably over 2-story high). The decor is that faux French and overall feels very cold and officious.The staff (as with all the restaurants in the hotel) are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is good and fairly authentic. The filet could use a bit more sauce. So, be sure to ask them. For the lamb chop, ask for medium if you normally prefer medium rare.

I had heard that Giliâs was the new place to be in Chengdu for a pizza. So I was pretty keen to try the mushroom pepperoni pizza Brilliant. Exactly like I enjoy them - thin crust, great toppings. Perfection.

We went here for a little American steak in a city awash with spice.The waitress must firstly be mentioned as a woman without any humour, any decorum or any customer service. She was shockingly terse and lacked any customer relations skills.We ordered the 595 yuan for two menu. Bread which had obviously been microwaved was served initially then soup which lacked any seasoning...and with marathon speed Caesar salad followed by smoked salmon or Spanish ham...then door step lumps of steak better suited to a tannery (Morganâs Award winning steak) than a restaurant as it was as tough as hell...and then a chocolate slice/mousse...we were exhausted by the speed of food charging through...I doubt anyone there has been to an American Steak House whatever the decor and piped music might suggest? If you want American go to MacDonaldâs and save yourself a fortune!
