Our first visit to 1776. Food was outstanding. Our waitress Michelle was very attentive and great care of us. Did I say the food was great? It exceeded our expectations. Brian Clark was performing that night as well. Great entertainment. We will definitely be back!

Went on a Sunday for lunch and ordered off their lunch menu (cheaper) but still had a great quesadilla. You get warm chips and tasty salsa for free. Corona was not too expensive either. Our waiter was very friendly and hilarious. They have a bar area too if you want to watch a football game. Its a few blocks up from the boardwalk but not a bad walk. Would highly recommend!

First time to Houston White to celebrate a friends Birthday. Right from the start from making the reservation to confirming the reservation and then dinner was just way to easy.We arrived on Saturday evening (06/29) at 7:25PM for a 7:30PM reservation, we received a pleasant welcome and our table was ready, NICE !!! Our server for the evening was Brian C. who was just a pleasure, patient and kind. Brian went over the menu with us and all of the specials, he also made some suggestions. All three of us had different specials that Brian recommended and also a bottle of wine that he suggested to go with the meal.Every part of the meal was excellent, the biscuits, the steaks, the baked potatoes, the mushrooms then coffee and desert. Everything was just great including the champagne cocktail at the end for our friend who was celebrating her birthday.Okay, the cons:Restaurant is small and can be a little noisy. (I am from New York so I am use to noisy restaurants)We had these delicious mushrooms with dinner and we had some left over but they forgot to pack the mushrooms which were fantastic.The pros:Great service from start to finish. Easy to make a reservation, nice greeting when arriving, nice atmosphere, great food and a nice good bye when leaving. Then there is the staff who were all just so nice.So I would highly recommend Houston White for a really good steak dinner.
