The GyroGyroOloi is by my opinion the best restaurant-tavern in Athens, with excellent dishes, high quality food and service, the freshshest food ever..And the most important thing is that of the prices-very flexible..The GyroGyroOloi has only two restaurants, one is situated in Piraeus district,on Androutsou street and the second one is situated in Palaion Faliron district,on Akriton street..I highly recommend this restaurant. If you want to taste Greek cuisine, then this is your destination.

We found the place in Notara by chance as we were staying in a hotel round the corner and got the recommendation from the store where we were buying wine in. We had a delicious dinner for two, for under 15 euro (including the price of 2 Amstel). We had the green salad (huge portion, more than enough for 2 people who love greens) and grilled chicken on skewers that was grilled to perfection. There was nice Greek music playing in the background, local Greeks with friends and family having dinner. We could watch the chef at work and we were served by the boss and his wife who were just hospitality personified. Will be in Athens for a week so intend to come back here again, maybe for lunch. Highly recommend it if you are in the area and looking for a Greek restaurant serving great food at very inexpensive price.

Excellent food at a fair price. Attentive customer service, very difficult to find in Athens and Piraeus. Nikos welcomed us and took care of all the details. Gefstiki Gonia / ÎÎΥΣΤÎÎÎ ÎΩÎÎÎ / TASTY CORNER. Nikos and Ornela suggested: Taramasalata or taramosalata (Greek: ÏαÏαμοÏαλάÏα, from taramas, from Turkish: tarama 'fish roe' and salata, from Italian: insalata "salad" to Greek meze made from tarama, the salted and cured roe of the cod, carp, or gray mullet (bottarga) mixed with olive oil, lemon juice, and a starchy base of bread or potatoes, or sometimes almonds.
