My husband and I visited this restaurant which is quite close to home, for the first time for Sunday lunch! We were not disappointed! The starters were delicious - mushrooms served very hot on an interesting plate resembling a garden! The prawns were lovely with Marie Rose sauce and green salad leaves. Excellent! The main courses were very generous. Beautifully cooked salmon with a delicious crust and pork fillet stack with peppercorn sauce and sweet potato crisps. These were accompanied with green vegetables which had a nice bite and two types of potato. We could not resist a desert and had pavlova and sticky toffee pudding both of which again were lovely. The coffee was newly ground and tasted just right! The bill for such a feast was not hard to pay! People of this area- try The Chestnut. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You will have a lovely meal and leave satisfied!

We provide quality food and drinks at great value, in clean, comfortable surroundings from 8:00am to 11:00 pm Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00am to midnight on Thursday and 8:00am through until 1:00am Friday and Saturday, served by great staff.

I come here every Friday with my dad for lunch for the past 3 to 4 weeks and the foods been amazing and the service is great too.Thanks for taking the time to leave such a great review. Our grandsons' favourite places to eat out. Went as a family to celebrate a 40th birthday. Food was good and plentiful. Prices reasonable. The two young women serving us were first class; friendly and efficient: thanks Beth and Robin.

This is a place for big eaters. Everything I've ever ordered here has come "super-sized". What is important though is that they don't replace quality with quantity. The food is lovely and very well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful. Now... the one negative thing for me that spoils an otherwise full marks review: The music is all wrong for the ambience and is too loud! This is so easily fixed so please please have a think about changing it!
