My friends and I ventured to spur for an affordable easy meal, but were treated to an incredible feast of steaks, ribs and burgers. The food was top quality and extremely filling, and the service was up to standard. The name says it all!!! Very good meat and an overall terrific dining experience. Our waiter was terrific and amply handled our very demanding party of 8!. The wine list was first rate and the desserts were delicious. Over experience was terrific. We are glad that our first day in Cape Town was capped off by dining at Carne.

We decided to early dinner at Nelson as we were traveling with our baby and were concerned for his sleeping hours.The restaurant is by no means equip for toddlers or babie but the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable.Let's the start with the service - absoluety fabulous! I could not have been more satisfied with the level of professionalism and genuine friendliness. As mentioned we were with a baby and he was getting a bit cranky having had to stay put. The owner ( I think he was the owner) was kind enough to show us the grill in which the grill an gave the baby a "fire show" which kept him entertained.... At some point the owner even took our little punk for greetings round the restaurant while we were able to take more bites of the wonderful food. Honestly I never felt so welcome. And now to the food - superb! Haven't had such a fine steak in ages. The fillet is an absolute MUST as it melts like butter in your mouth, and the rump steak was beautifully done, full of flavors and uumph. The sides too were excellent, we had a baked potato with sour cream and creamed spinach - both were excellent standalone dishes. To cut a long story short - the meat is beyond this world! After dinner the owner/manager also walked us to our car so that we feel safe. We had a great time and hope to be back in Cape Town so we can pop in again.

Great place. I had dinner here with a colleague. The service was superb. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the person who served us. I am sorry, but man, you are great.We ordered steak and wine. It was one of the best steaks i have had in my life. It was served quickly, and was tasty. just the way i ordered.If you are in Cape Town, and in the Canal Walk mall, please do visit this restaurant. You will not regret it.

This place has a garden and playpark for kids which is great if youâre not seated right there. The food is nothing special and itâs very noisy inside and outside.Hi 670marionsWe do apologise for your experience and that your food was not as special as you'd hoped. Thank you for your feedback, we do have a lot of families but they usually clear out by about 7:30pm. Our inside seating is usually where people sit to avoid the crowds but being a small restaurant makes it busling and noisy. Later bookings around 7:30pm to 8pm get to have a calmer and less noisy experience. We hope to see you again soon and hopefully we can give you a better experience. Please also feel free to bring anything to our attention if you are in the restaurant as we love feedback and the opportunity to improve.

A delightfully unsophisticated restaurant, just off Main Road and opposite the station. easy parking and access.Al offers a small and simple menu but does everything superbly. We have never had a bad meal there, it's always an enjoyable experience thanks to the banter with Leanne and Al and of course the excellent food.The steaks are good but I tend to go for fish and have enjoyed better sole and kingklip at Al's then at restaurants known for their seafood.Prices are reasonable, service is informal, it can be a little noisy, but it has a charm and character which guarantees that we keep going back.

Visited this restaurant on a rainy Thursday night. It proved to be an immensely satisfying overall experience. Our server was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The ambiance is upmarket and lively, but noise levels never became intrusive. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, including steaks, burgers, marrowbones, calamari and salads. Decent wine list with prices in keeping with quality. Definitely worth a visit !

We were favorably impressed with the new Brads Grill a branch of the original steakhouse in Claremont. Excellent aged steak including fillet on the bone, rump and T bone Dishes are served with vegetables and fries ( unlike similar steakhouses that charge for the extras)Quality is excellent, service is attentive and the Owner is present.You will enjoy the experience.

Went on the recommendation of friends and have to say not disappointed and had one of the best salmon steaks I have had.Was what I was told to ask for and was so moist and succulent it just melted in the mouth, with some lovely accompanying vegetables and roast potatoes.Chef Rudi came out and spoke to us and you know how dedicated and enthusiastic he is about his cookingReal pleasure and sure to return.Better to book if possible as is busy most evenings.

Was lucky enough to get a table for a few hours as it was booked out. The food was really good and well presented. However the seating is a bit cramped and the mussels had a bit too much garlic.
