Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings â pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendar
Service was excellent. Food was typical steakhouse fare and DELICIOUS. Seafood tower, mashed potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower, and carrot cake were all terrific but our favs were the steaks and butterscotch sundae. Yes, pricey, but expected at this type of steakhouse in the city.

Have been coming here for years for authentic Argentine food and now can actually bring home these quality grass fed meats and housemade chorizo to cook at home with their new Butcher Shop takeaway - so fun to prepare a parilla at home! All of the meats are top quality from Argentina. If you like to grill you must try this!

Ocean Prime is an award winning modern American restaurant and lounge from renowned restaurateur Cameron Mitchell. With stunning settings, a vibrant energy, an impressive menu of seafood and steaks and truly exceptional service, Ocean Prime is an ideal pl
This is a large, very modern and comfortable restaurant on two levels, with a great, extensive wine selection by the glass. Perfect place to call into for lunch if you are staying in the area between Rockefeller Plaza and Central Park. Delicious bread, very relaxing, lovely, highly professional staff, especially Kate who took care of us with distinction. An immaculate and clearly Wonderfully managed restaurant. We were impressed. Best place to sit is on semi-circular banquettes by window, opposite bar. The menu was superb, something for everyone. My son thought his desert was amazing. Since we visited by chance as a âwalk-inâ various New York people have told me how highly they rate this restaurant. Iâm told that this restaurant keeps getting better, I can believe it. If you are in the Central Park or Rockefeller Plaza area and want to go somewhere which is great value, luxurious and with an excellent menu, you just cannot go wrong here. For a chain, this is impressive. However I have been told that the branches of Ocean prime in other American cities are also totally individual. This particular branch reminds me of New York City and it does New York proud. Highly recommended, we intend to go back again before we leave for London

Iâve been a steak lover since I grew teeth to chew it. Unlike other parents who are steak and gave the kids a hamburger, I ate steak. The other night I had the New York Strip here. With apologies to other steakhouses, this was one of the best steaks that I have had on my roughly 60 trips around the sun.

Fine dining Steakhouse featuring Prime USDA steaks & seafood, plus martinis & wine, presented in a warm, sophisticated setting.
My family and I had reservations for 7:45. We arrived and were promptly seated. The hostess was professional and friendly as was the waitstaff. We ordered an appetizer of Beefsteak Tomatoes and Onions. I actually prefer my tomatoes and onions sliced a bit thinner however they were good and fresh. My husband ordered a NY Strip and I ordered the Bone in Ribeye. Along with our 5 year old daughter we ordered Mac n Cheese and Creamed Spinach to share. Everything came out sizzling hot. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and very well seasoned. We didnât need or did we use the house made steak sauce. Sides were equally wonderful. Even our daughter (that hardly eats meat) loved the steaks and said she couldnât choose which tasted better because they were both delicious. Price is on the expensive side with steaks averaging about $62 each and sides about $18 each however it was sooooo worth it.

The restaurant is owned by brothers John and Tommy Greco along with their longtime friend Christian Tanno. The Greco name should ring a bell: Chef/Restaurateur John oversees the beloved Village eatery Philip Marie (open 18 years) that serves up delicious
Nice friendly restaurant providing very good steaks, the Filet Mignon was superb. The whole experience was good until payment time. Unfortunately the experience was ruined to some extent by a waiter who chose to overcharge an item on the bill &, instead of discreetly apologising & removing the overcharge, took the option to loudly & repeatedly 'argue his case' in front of all the diners. Regretably the Management, who where in earshot, chose to ignore the issue until we asked the waiter to call the Manager to our table - only then did they remove the overcharge from the bill.As stated above - good food but I would suggest that all potential diners keep an eye on their bills. Scoring would have been higher if the overcharge incident had been dealt with properly.

My wife and I visited Club A Steakhouse on a recent couple's visit to NYC. The rating on TripAdvisor got our attention (it was #1 in NYC at the time) and Bruno's story is an interesting one. The atmosphere is fantastic! They use fine details like real candles at every table and have a live two-string and saxophone band playing soft Jazz most of the time during dinner. Sets a great mood.We had salads to start and they were very good but not really exceptional. No complaints though. After the salads, and unsolicited, the chef provided a mushroom ravioli appetizer that was very good.Between this and the main course, there was a rather long wait. But we were chatting and enjoying the music. Then came the steaks and sides, we both had filet mignon and we got mac and cheese and mushrooms. The steaks were very well done with an excellent char on the outside and proper temperature inside. After the main course, again unsolicited, we were offered a variety of desserts. Tiramisu, chocolate cake and beignets. They were all good. All considered the meal was great. The only blemish being the long wait between the appetizer and the main course. The atmosphere is top-notch and the food is well above average.Great work Bruno!Hi Cbeard,Thank you for your kind review and I appreciate you choosing to eat at Club A while on a trip to NYC! I am happy you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again. Bruno

Weâve enjoyed this place on our last 2 visits to NYC. Of course the steaks are superb but perhaps surprisingly for a âsteak houseâ so is the seafood. Waitstaff was very professional, helpful with the ordering process, and offered the perfect level of attention. On this latest visit we were very happy with chateaubriand for 2 but noticed the table next to us was enjoying wonderful looking seafood. Conveniently located a few blocks from Times Square. Dear Charles,We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our establishment and sharing your dining experience. It is a true delight to hear your high praise. Here at Empire Steak House, our guests receive the outmost attention they deserve. We are glad to hear the Chateaubriand was up to your liking. We take pride in the way we prepare and serve food, and steak has always been our specialty. Thank you for your note on the seafood, as we make sure it is always the freshest available from some of the best seafood purveyors in the city, so thank you for appreciating what we do best here. Please visit us next time you are in the city.Looking forward to seeing you.Kindest Regards,Empire Steak House Management
