Me and my husband wanted to eat at a good steak so, after reading many reviews we decided to go to le Rio. Im glad we did. We decided to order the Table DâHote and we were both very pleased with our choices. Since the soup, until the dessert, everything tasted great and we felt that the price was an honest price for the food we had. One small remark: I wouldnât go with my kids as the whole meal took around 1:30 hours, which, for us - couple -was not a problem. Apart from that, everything was very good. Iâll absolutely return. Went for dinner one evening in August 2018. I had swordfish and my partner had filet mignon. Both were excellent. They also have a very good pinot grigio decently priced. What was disappointing was the salad, and the veggies accompanying main course did not seem to be 100% fresh. Very surprised as we've eaten at Gibby's many, many times, both at their St. Sauveur and old Montreal locations, and we've never had veggies that did not look 100% fresh. Maybe it was just an off day. The meat, the fish, the wine and the dessert were all excellent and therefore we overlooked the sub-standard veggies.

We went with a friend for supper.The staff were waiting for us with great big smiles.The atmosphere was nice. We sat my a window near the fireplace, outside we could see Mount Saint Sauveur. When the menu came, we went over it ,again and again. There was so many good choices of plates to choose from. We finally decided to try three different meals. Absolutely amazing.The presentation, the taste, the portions were very well prepared to make this meal a most enjoyable one. Excellent !!! We will be back to try out your upstairs terrace this summer. Thank-you for the great evening.

Our party of four arrived at the restaurant which was about two-thirds full. We were quickly seated and our wines were rapidly uncorked. Our server was very knowledgeable about the various steaks offered and our orders were taken. Unfortunately the two steaks, cooked as requested were cold as was the iraccompanying sauces. My calmars were lukewarm while my wife's fish was perfect.Maybe they should rename the place 'Steak Frette'.Upon complaining the offending steaks were rapidly re-heated and served and were good. Once the meal was finished we requested and received our bills in short order but but it took our server about 20 minutes to come to the table to process the credit cards. In the meantime the staff were setting tables for tomorrow's servings and sweeping up at the surrounding tables. I was surprised they didn't bring out the vacuum cleaner and ask us to raise our feet. This was at 9:45 PM, not late at night ,and was totally unprofessional. I understand that the staff want to go home but there are limits. We were going to come back with guests next week but now we are re-considering.
