Ok, first the annoying: we called to make a Saturday evening reservation and were told that reservations were only for groups of 5 or more. When we arrived, the hostess said, "Oh, then you should have simply called ahead." Wait. What? Apparently their rules of engagement allow for calling ahead when you're 30 minutes out. Be nice to have that info on their website and/or for the reservation-taker to have mentioned this. The rest was actually quite pleasant after our hour wait. Food was high quality, servers were attentive and efficient and the low ceiling effective in keeping ambient noise to a minimum.0

Jay's Seafood Restaurant has been family owned and operated for 41 years. Specializing in fresh seafood, steaks and fine wine at reasonable prices. Our story is rich in history. During the period ranging into the late 1800's, Dayton was one of the leading
My colleague suggested this for dinner. I was skeptical and even more so walking in. He suggested sitting at the bar for dinner. The place is old...lots of wood...probably could use a facelift, but maybe that's what makes people find it special. The bar was the right call. Bar tender was full of all kinds of stories and made the meal more fun and i didn't have to talk to the guy i had to work with all day anyway. I was in mood for beef so ordered the petite filet...i know at a seafood place...in Ohio...it was delicious.

This our first visit to the re-branded Redlands Grill. I selected the Grilled Pork Loin with Smashed Garlic Potatoes for $20.95. The pork loin was perfectly cooked, moist and tender. The pile of garlic potatoes was generous and delicious. She ordered the Jumbo Fried Shrimp ($24.95) and they were really jumbo and very good. The Maker's Mark Manhattan was $14. But the drink comes in a glass with an overflow flask with what amounts to a second drink. A glass of Wente Chardonnay was $9. Tevonte was very attentive. Note - their tip suggestion included tax.
Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for
I work nearby this location and really wish that I could include it in my list of places for lunch. I love to eat at Steak n' Shake but this location is horrible. I have always gone thru the drive thru and have never gotten my order correct! Worse than the customer service though was the taste of the french fries.....my favorite part of their menu. They tasted as though they had been fried in oil that had not been changed in a while. I even boycotted for a few months then decided to give them another chance hoping the oil flavor had changed but no such luck. I won't go back.

We had a wonderful evening there and everyones steaks were cooked to perfection! Only positive comments from everyone in our group about their dinners. It was a truly enjoyable evening. Can't wait to return! Before this trip, every time we were in the Dayton area we would try to go to the Oakwood Club. This trip we came to the Pine Club after a friends recommendation. I couldn't be happier. All I can say this restaurant is hands down better than the Oakwood Club and we will come back on our next visit! I wish we could be back in Dayton next week to enable us to dine at the Pine Club again. As other people have said, they don't accept credit cards, take only cash or a check.

Love to come here when the steak crave arises. Many of theirs are very good, but our favorite us the Outlaw Ribeye, medium-rare. It was perfectly cooked even if it was a bit south of medium-rare.Drinks are interesting and reasonably priced.Service is very friendly and knowledge.
