This Argentinian restaurant seriously has it all from great food to great service. TOP NOTCH meat quality. The 700gram rib eye was cooked to perfection, full of flavor. The wine while on the expensive side was also very good, Altas Cumbres MalbecThe chorizo argentino and fries were also very good. The kids zone has a sitter that helps you with your toddles and infants. and the icing on the cake since we arrived by cab is that they have a shuttle service that brought us back to the hotel for free. Need I say more?Highly recommendable for family or couple's dinner.

I moved to Guadalajara just a month ago, and I’ve been to the place today for the third time, basically because steaks are great, no doubt about it... but... it was a shame that the waiter’s captain decided to sit a friend of him just ahead of three families (including mine) that were waiting for a table. That’s how a team’s good work can be sent to the trash for just one person... management should look into it.Hi Franco, we are investigating the situation, We sorry about what happened and for the late response.Greetings

We started with the octopus. Man was that great! I loved my thai shrimp dinner. The steaks got a good rating too. Good wine selection.

At Asador La Vaca Argentina enjoy taking a trip through the gastronomic region of the Pampas in Argentina, guided by an authentic gaucho, our head Chef, Juan Angel Marcelo Pica. The meat used by the restaurant is all Angus Certified of a maximum weight of
I've just spent a whole week at GDL and someone recommended me "La Vaca Argentina". I went there with my family, on a Thursday, to have lunch.1.- The place is nice, is inside "Andares", a popular mall.2.- The empanadas are good, the steak is really tasty.3.- Wine selection is fair.4.- Desserts and coffee are pretty good.5.- Service is terrible: we had the waiter coming every 5 minutes to know if there was something missing (and disturbing at every time the conversation), but everytime that we've asked for sthg....it just took ages to arrive to our table!!!6.- When I asked for my steak, I also asked for French fries (that arrived late) and the guy serving the salad just served it over the table and took it from the table back to my plate.... Sooooooo disgusting. Of course I told the guy and asked for a new dish and a new salad. In conclusion, the place and the food are good but the service is really bad. I would strongly recommend against going here to have lunch.

Went here with my wife for my birthday and could not have wished for a better experience. It should be noted upfront that we met in Guadalajara more than 30 years ago when I lived and worked there for more than two years. We used to live in an area called Jardines del Bosque, on walking distance from La Estancia. So, I have been to La Estancia many times but had not been there for more than 15 years since we don't visit Guadalajara that often. We were very excited to be back. It had been renovated and enlarged with a separate room for smokers (which, incidentally, has better aircon than the rest of the place). It is a large restaurant with ample distance between tables for privacy. It is a favorite hangout for business people - think a typical 2-hour Mexican lunch that is used to build relationships rather than discuss business. Anyway, we started with a selection of empanadas (they offer 4-5 different types) complemented by their home-made salsas. Pick any - the fillings are juicy and delicious. I then continued with the 500 gram (1.2 pounds) "Churrasco," a perfectly grilled piece of meat simply served with lettuce and marinated onion. Simple and delicious (but I could not finish it). My wife had a more traditional Mexican "Sabana de Filete."The service is attentive and impeccable. The place is perfect for business meetings but also nice for family occasions. They open at 1 pm each day (tells you something about lunch time in Mexico). If you have no reservation, plan on arriving before 2 pm, after that it gets really crowded. At 3 pm, it is full, every day. We got there at 1:45 pm and lunched for 3 (!) hours. We finished off with a "postre" (dessert) on the house since it was my birthday, espresso, Don Pedro (Mexican brandy) for me, and Chinchon (anise liquor) for my wife. Well, we didn't want to leave so we had two digestive top-of-the-shelf tequilas too (añejo, i.e. tequila matured the longest). All told, this restaurant is better than ever, and when you combine the quality and taste of the food, the service, ambiance, and modest prices, you will have one of the best experiences you can ever wish for. This is a must-eat place when in Guadalajara!

Unfortunately, this restaurant which opened strong has gone downhill since its opening. My first meal here was outstanding four or five months ago. Two months ago just ok, and on this trip poor. Here is my review of the recent visit:1. Service Poor - inattentive servers playing with their phones clustered near the open kitchen. Some work to get their attention. 2. Bar Poor- undrinkable margarita and mojito loaded with sugar. Sent back and they just dosed the sugar with more alcohol. Yuck!3. Food Good - dinner was okay. No great fails but no oh wow moments either. They were out of carpaccio, a shrimp app that was served on a small grill has been reduced to a bowl of shrimp and their separated heads with a potato. The steak was a nice cut. Creamed spinach was good but not temperature hot. They come by with a dessert tray that looks like everything is on steroids - nothing under a kilo for me that’s just not refined or classy. Will not return.

This is another place that does get a lot of hype, but man, they lived up to the publicity. Service was fast and friendly, but not trying to hustle us out. The food was amazing, a really nice wine list, and good prices. We will be back!

I’m surprised that this restaurant is considered the best restaurant in Zapopan. When we went there around 5:30 pm , it wasn’t crowded. What was crowded was the restaurant downstairs called La Docina Oyster Bar. We were the only people seated in our section. Our waiter was very attentive, maybe a little too attentive. My wife ordered a steak that was $17 U.S. I had the chicken fried chicken. My wife, a carnivore, only ate a third of the steak which she found just ok nothing special. I liked the chicken fried chicken but the dish came with a small container of white gravy instead of poring the gravy over the steak and mashed potatoes which weren’t white but some off dark color. Our bill with tip was $1,000 pesos, the most we have spent on a meal so far in Mexico. So no I don’t think this restaurant should be rated as the best restaurant in Zapopan. Thanks for your visit. Our meat are Stearling Silver Quiality. We served for separed all sauces and dressings for the costumer could take the decition to use it or not. About our mash potatoes, we only use a fresh potatoes, we don't use cans, and for that the colour is natural no artificial white. Thank you again for your visit, but many people think we are one of the best restaurants in Zapopan.

Brick SteakHouse is one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in Guadalajara. The design of the place makes for a comfortable, yet sophisticated ambience. The service was not only friendly and helpful but they were attentive to our needs. The quality of the food was superb. Our Porterhouse was cooked to perfection and the sides were flavourful. The desserts were second to none. We had the cornbread with dulce de leche and the cassoulet of berries and chocolate, amazing. Also, they have a great selection of local, artisanal beers as well as great wine list which is well priced. This place is a must.
