Because we were able to get a table without waiting, my wife and I tried Longhorn Steakhouse. It looked promising as we entered. Again, no wait, seated promptly, new attractive interior, typical steakhouse menu. Service was slow even though the restaurant did not seem very busy. My wife ordered salmon. I ordered the flat iron steak and asparagus. Both of us found the entrees to have a strange, off putting flavor. The salmon, steak, and even asparagus seemed to be coated in oil. We see no reason to return.

Absolutely awful!! Chicken had a rubbery texture, my âCaesarâ salad had old sour âCaesarâ dressing. The mixed drinks had more ice than anything. Our waiter forgot the blooming onion. Lastly, I went to the womenâs bathroom and there was toilet water on the floor in the stall.. horrible experience!! We can do much better than this. Cattle Baron in Midland was a total disappointment. After more than three years, my wife and I decided to give it another try. I ordered salad bar and baked potato. The baked potato was good, the salad bar wilted, not fresh. My wife ordered chopped steak. It was a large portion, but dry. Our waiter was pleasant, but other staff seemed dour and not interested in being there. The restaurant is dark and feels dingy. I cannot comment about steaks, but this was our last visit to Cattle Baron.

Typically not a fan of chain restaurants & thatâll remain true for now. Came in for a small quick bite. While the waiter was certainly friendly and attentive, quality of food was sub-par. Recommended Chicken Laredo tasted like it was right off the back of a Sysco truck and about as bland as a tongue depressor, they did attempt to jazz it up with crumbled feta cheese, garnish and some onions but it was for naught. For a recommended dish, Iâll have to give a big Eff. The chicken tortilla soup was average but the Chicken& shrimp bacon dish was a decent appetizer.Overall return on investment was poor Rating, Eff...

My first time here. Everyone at my table thought the food was wonderful. I had the roasted salmon with crispy vegetables (Brussels sprouts crisp-fried, asparagus). I couldnât finish all of it, but the salmon was flavorful and moist - just perfect. We shared appetizers. I enjoyed the roasted thick sweet potato slices, with a very crispy but tender skin. The tables are close together and the place is LOUD. The four of us could to talk pretty loudly to be heard, and we all agreed that we missed half of the conversation. Not recommended if you actually have to discuss business or want a têtê-à -têtê, but otherwise I will definitely come here again.

This restaurant is kind of in the middle of an industrial area, but it was close to where I needed to be, so we gave it a go. It looks like a fine dining place on the internet. It's, at best, a mid range steak house. A little nicer than say Lone Star. The service was average, it took forever to get drinks. The salads came out quickly, but then the main course came out when I was still eating my salad. The worst offense of any restaurant, much less one that is trying to be high end, is when the server comes to the table and has no clue who ordered what dish. There were 2 of us. I am a firm believer that knowing which patron ordered which food is the server's job. It's so rude to have someone standing there holding plates of food and saying "who had the steak?" The food was mediocre at best. My friend liked her steak, but my crab cakes were so so. They made a big deal out of their hand cut fries, but they were not crispy, but greasy and soggy. The Caesar salad was chopped -- it's actually supposed to be whole romaine leaves and you are really supposed to eat it with your hands. The dressing was very bland, and there wasn't a shaving of parmesan cheese to be tasted. The live music from the adjacent bar was loud, maybe it's just Friday nights. The atmosphere otherwise was just OK. They could spruce it up a little with a fresh coat of paint. On the upside, it wasn't very expensive. As always, you get what you pay for. If in Midland again, I would not seek this restaurant out again.

Venezia's provided an excellent anniversary dinner experience. As we reserved a table, we were seated promptly out of traffic areas by the fireplace. Drink orders were taken. Delicious house wines and warm crusty bread set the tone for a perfect dinner. Smoked salmon appetizer started our dinner. It was even better than expected having eaten lox at delis in New York and Philadelphia. The smoked salmon was served with cream cheese, spring mix, shaved hard boiled egg, chopped red onion, capers, fresh dill & lemon, a presentation different from lox and bagels. I did not use the lemon so that I could enjoy the true taste of the salmon. My wife enjoyed grilled salmon as her entre' - a moist, flaky, generously portioned, perfectly seasoned filet accompanied by lightly grilled asparagus. Linguine Milano, scampi style shrimp in light cream sauce and parmigiano, provided a perfect entre' for me. The sauce was thick so that it clung to the pasta. Shrimp were tender and not overcooked. Service was perfect until the restaurant became busier. The waiter seemed to be assigned different areas of the restaurant. We recommend Venezia without hesitation. It is perfect for any occasion or when just looking for a leisurely dinner in a comfortable setting.
