Where to eat Steakhouse food in Memphis: The Best Restaurants and Bars

October 16, 2019 Joeann Galban

Reviews on Steakhouse food in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Memphis is a pilgrimage for those wanting to visit the birthplace of the blues, of soul and of rock 'n' roll. On Beale Street, W.C. Handy put down on paper the first written blues music. Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash all recorded at the historic Sun Records, which is now a museum. Graceland, the second most-visited home in America, welcomes visitors from around the world who yearn for a peek into the life of "the King." Beyond the music, Tennessee's largest city also offers much more. It has more sunny days each year than Miami, and combines southern tradition and hospitality with modern amenities. You'll enjoy great dining (be sure to sample the barbecued ribs), art galleries and exciting nightlife.

While trying new places in Memphis area, try Side Porch on Stage Rd. Bartlett, Tn. I had a great marinated rib eye that you are sure to love. The meal came with baked potatoes and salad. Very good, very reasonably priced, pleasant environment, and at home dinner feeling. A must try, you won't regret. Tell Ashley that you read the review for an extra dose of kindness.

The menu for food and wine was extensive, offering what would seem something for everyone. We were a group of six and were seated at a booth which was very nice though the booth by us was VERY loud so it was difficult to hear when we were first seated. Two salads were ordered and both the Caesar and the wedge were very fresh and flavorful. The beef and filets were cooked as requested and quite tender. The Gorgonzola fillet didn't seem to have much cheese. The tortellini was very good but not as plentiful as hoped. The saltimbocca was spot on. The service was pleasant but could have been more attentive during the meal for refills of drinks and bread.

I dined here recently with friends and it was a wonderful experience. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and patient. We lingered over drinks before ordering so that we could visit awhile and the waiter did not rush us to order. I chose the Steak Salad as my entree and the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer. Both were excellent. I was hungry and had plenty to eat. I look forward to returning to dine there again.Hello,Thank you for the lovely review! A wonderful experience and a delightful time with great service from the bartenders and quick and helpful service from the valet who brought an umbrella to the car for since it was raining. Will go back again soon!

Really expected it to be better. It was overpriced for the offerings. On a positive note if you are big meat eater you might enjoy it, However the steak was disappointing it is kind of sad when the flank steak was the best tasting. I was really disappointed with the sirloin and top sirloin. Did not get an opportunity at any better cuts of meat. And maybe it is Memphis like someone else mentioned but it certainly did not live up to expectations. It is definitely high priced.

BUCKLEY'S continues to please every time we visit, and our friends and family also enjoy the friendly wait staff and the excellent food at each visit. You can even take your book club and enjoy discussing your latest read over delicious Margaritas, or your favorite wine. The appetizers are superb (shrimp, enough to share, and a cheesy/jam spread you will not want to share); the citrus and honey-glazed salmon with wild rice is difficult to resist. The fresh broccoli with béarnaise sauce was so good, I had to go back for it last week after being there the end of April. You will not be disappointed :) The Delta shrimp and grits is another favorite of mine !
