Wir besuchten das Restaurant âZur Kastanieâ in Marl aufgrund eines erworbenen Gutscheins von Groupon. Der Gutschein beinhaltete ein âAll you can eatâ Essen für Rumpsteak mit Beilagen (Pommes, Bratkartoffeln, PfeffersoÃe). Zuvor gab es eine kleine Vorspeise nach âgut dünkenâ des Küchenchefs (Lachs und WeiÃbrot) und einen kleinen gemischten Salat mit einem leckeren Joghurt-Dressing. Zum Nachtisch gab es eine sehr leckere aber auch mächtige Mousse au chocolat.Alle Speisen waren sehr lecker und von guter Qualität, obwohl das servierte Rindfleisch -unserer Meinung nach- kein Rumpsteak war. Das Rindfleisch war jedoch sehr zart und lieà sich auch sehr gut auf dem heiÃen Stein braten.Wir waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr nett. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und brachte uns auf Wunsch immer wieder frische Beilagen und Fleisch. Sonderwünsche wie z. B. frische Kräuterbutter wurden ebenfalls erfüllt.Das Restaurant ist sehr rustikal eingerichtet und man muss nicht unbedingt im Anzug erscheinen.Das Weizenbier wurde frisch gezapft und schmeckte sehr frisch und spritzig.Das Restaurant verfügt über einen gröÃeren Saal. AuÃerdem besitzt es einen kleinen und gemütlichen Biergarten.Wir können dieses Restaurant mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Superb in every way.Excellent choice of steaks including melt in the mouth USA corn fed which is flown in weekly.Reasonably priced wines. Brilliant service. Loved the sides. Couldn't fault anything. It was our first visit, we very were impressed and will be return when we are next in Recklinghausen.The warm service and welcome added to the experience; Dragans is family run and they all work hard to ensure that you enjoy a great time.By the way, it's best to book, we turned up and found it full early on a Sunday evening and we were lucky to have their last table.A packed restaurant on a Sunday evening speaks volumes.

Oh my, where to start. This restoraunt is a pure gem in NRW's food scene. Discretely tucked away in the quite little town of Herten, but trust me, most "big city" steakhouses can't compete with these guys. The decór of the place is nice, its cosy and comfy, and gives off that "family owned restourant" vibe. The prices are more than reasonable, and the service is friendly and fast, our food arrived pretty quick, and damn, it was delicious. Their starter specialty is a onion soup, but with a twist, seeing as they put fresh chesse on top off the bowl, and let it melt. it is delicious!Their cordon bleu was also amazing, it was as tasty as it looked, and as you can see, it looked delicious!But the definite star of the show is their "Adria" steak. 100% (as they state in their menu) argentinian beef, with an amazing mushroom + home-made hollandaise sauce. It is probably the best steak i have ever had in my Life!All in all, i highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good meal!
