No prize for guessing what this restaurant specialises in. And if you didn't know, it would be obvious as you walk up to the front door. You are confronted with a fridge full of kilo+ steaks (see photo) . Inside the decor is basic, and a bit dated, however this is not a place to pose but a temple for carnivores. You get two choices of quality, standard or deluxe. Deluxe only costs a couple of Euros more but still only thirty something Euros a kilo so value for money. The steak comes flash fried but you have the option to sear it further at your table. The second photo is how we ate ours. Tasty (but still not as good as Japanese steak). I would definitely eat here again but make more room beforehand.

Parrilla Tradicional.

Having had seafood for many days, we needed meat, hence, we chose this BBQ restaurant . It was excessively busy but the backroom had space. You walk past the open kitchen to get there and get a good look at some of the fayre. I ordered ribs, as they looked so good, my wife ordered pork chops and we started with Calamares and we had a bottle of house red.The food was good and the service was attentive without being obtrusive. The wine however was average, my fault as they have a lot of choice. For this we paid only 35 Euro's and this was money well spent.

If not for trip-advisor and other guides, as a visitor to Lugo you would miss-out on locations like this one. In an unsuspicious street, behind a nice entrance you'll find a bar, and in the back a large busy restaurant - reservations are helpful. Great food and service.

Si bien es el restaurante del hotel Coto Real en Rabade, creo que merece una crÃtica aparte
This is one of the best Assador Restaurants that I have experienced. Their specialty is the fresh Lamb al horno which is superb. Also great appetizers like Chipirones en su tinta, tomate slices with ventresca de Atún, olive oil, opinion, Modena vinegar. Great wine cellar.Expensive, but excellent. Free parking. It is about 15 minutes from Lugo city. José Campo, CHA
