Named after Abraham Lincoln, this state capital is a great place for children, history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Soak in the panoramic view of the city from the observation tower of the 400-foot high capitol building, whose white stone Art Deco spire can be seen from miles around. Then take a tour of the building and its grounds, where you'll find a Lincoln monument created by the same artist who sculpted the famous Lincoln statue in Washington, D.C. While you're on a history roll, visit the Governor's Mansion, whose Georgian Colonial exterior belies the varied architectural styles inside, and be sure to see the collection of dolls representing the state's first ladies dressed in their inaugural gowns. Kids will love the Folsom Children's Zoo & Botanical Gardens, where they can circle the zoo in a miniature train and see over 300 animals living among spectacular gardens. For some outdoor fun, head to one of the city's beautiful parks, the largest of which is Wilderness Park, whose hiking, biking and equestrian trails will keep you on the move for hours.

In the past two weeks, my wife and I have attended a retirement celebration event, I have participated in a retirement seminar, and my wife and I have dined in the main dining room and . . . I have never been more impressed with the food and service. Many times over the past several years, this place has been a "hit & miss" and many times a "miss." However, I think they finally got it all together! Many thanks to our server, Grant who took excellent care of us last night!Hello Terry, thanks for the positive feedback! We're always happy to hear good things from our customers. We will pass your praise onto Grant and we hope to see you again, soon!

Walk into Mistyâs in Havlock and walk back in time. This 60âs styled steak house with dim lighting, old fashioned banquettes, and somewhat worn interior is worth a visit. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Some have been there for years. They are courteous and customer oriented. The menu ranges from escargot appetizer to the best prime rib in town. (Theirs is seasoned, most restaurants in town under-season.) Oddly, the only disappointment was the prime rib this trip. My friend and I ordered rare and wound up with medium well. We should have sent ours back. The meals come with the usual various potatoes, salad, or soup, and a loaf of bread. . There are a range of menu items to suit most budgets. While you are there, check out the sports memorabilia, quite the collection. Enjoy a step back in time: quiet and relaxing atmosphere, good service, good food. Wait! Was that Dean Martin sitting over there with Frank Sinatra? Just their kind of place. You might see shades of Bob Devaney in another corner!

I am almost a vegetarian, so if I ate my steak, that's a real compliment. It was cooked to perfection. Party of 10 and no one had a complaint. Great service too.

We got food to go when the first opened at least 10 years ago and never went back. I assumed it was because we carried out, but we just weren't impressed. I've always heard great things so I tried again with my girlfriends on Saturday night and dined in. I will say I look forward to going back again. We had the fondue appetizer with chicken and steak. Both were perfectly cooked and the cheese dip was delicious. We also had the shrimp cocktail which was fresh and delicious. Another person in my group had the peanut butter burger and said it was amazing. The food at the other tables looked delicious as well. Also, our service was attentive and pretty quick. Great place!

Visited Single Barrel for the second time and was blown away by both the food and the staff!!Our server was Paige.. can not rave enough about her. Not only was she attentive and professional, but went the extra mile to accommodate our menu changes. Also, a shout out to John the barkeep for recommending a fab bourbon to a newbie (me) and rushing out additional beverages when needed. We both substituted ribeyes for the butter toasted NY strip (upcharge) and it was oh, so worth it. Definitely a gem in Lincoln!

Carnivore ParadiseI've been to other Brazilian restaurants before and was surprised by the different offerings at Rodizio. First, service was amazing! We had a large group and there wasn't even a hint of the staff being stressed or overwhelmed. They were friendly and in top of things. The salad bar didn't have the wide variety of options I've seen at other places, but was enough to satisfy. Rodizio had meat options I'd never had at other Brazilian restaurants. Bison, caribou, venison and rattlesnake sausage. Definitely the most affordable Brazilian restaurant I've ever been to. This is a definite must try for meat eaters visiting Lincoln, Nebraska.
