We visited in late August, and Bundoran was very busy. My first impression of this restaurant is that they seem understaffed. I popped in earlier in the evening with a view to booking a table for later, but there was a family in front of me waiting to be seated, and I waited with them for 10 mins and not a single member of staff approached them to reassure them that they'd been seen. Even when other customers came up to the bar close by to pay. They were ignored. I returned later in the evening, having booked by telephone. We were not offered a drink by the waitress, and were not seen again for some time. In fact, I think we were only given food menus, with no price list for drinks. One of my sons needed a no2 in the toilets. He came back and said that one cubicle had a 'Out of Order' sign on, and the other appeared to be locked, but there was no one in there. He returned to the toilets several times during the evening, hoping that the problem would be resolved, but it wasn't. Eventually, after a long wait our food arrived. And here I have no complaint. We were all delighted with our dishes - especially me who had ordered the Seafood Chowder. It also took us a long time to work out how we could pay our bill. We took the direct action in the end and went up to the bar. So overall - food good, but service not so great.

We were late and felt almost alone in the restaurant. Our waitress was wonderful and the food even better. Good wine selection, and considering we closed the place down, they were more than happy to make our experience great. Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and the sides were delicious. My Sirloin with sweet potato chips, green beans and asparagus couldn't have been better.Great stop if you're in the area.

Lovely restaurant offering tremendous value. Surf and Turf was very tasty, and an old favourite - baked Alaska was enjoyed by all. Vegetarian in our party was very impressed with her meal. Would recommend.
