It is the principal city of the Kokomo, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Howard and Tipton counties. Kokomo's population was 46,113 at the 2000 census, and 45,468 at the 2010 census. On January 1, 2012, Kokomo successfully annexed more than 7 square miles (18 km) on the south and west sides of the city, including Alto and Indian Heights, increasing the city's population to nearly 57,000 people.

I have never had a bad experience at Texas Road House, and this visit was excellent as well. We arrived around 5:30pm and we were told that it would be about a 20 minute wait, they actually seated us after about 5 minutes. Service was very good. Food is always good, I think they have the best steaks for a chain restaurant.

We stopped in for an early dinner, and really enjoyed the experience. Situated in a renovated historic building, the wood and brick ambiance is somewhat reminiscent of an old-school steakhouse.Our server, Zack, was friendly, helpful and attentive. The onion strings made for a very satisfying start to the meal; crisp and tasty. The N Y strip, made "Pittsburgh" style, was excellent; flavorful and juicy. The hamburger was also very good, a nicely proportioned combination of chargrilled meat and "fixings" (with especially nice bacon).The mac-and-cheese, and the truffle fries both made for satisfying sides (especially the mac-and-cheese).The meal was a bit pricey; but the quality justifies the additional cost. All and all; this was one of the better meals we've had in Kokomo, in quite awhile.

I have been following the $15.99 steak and lobster meal at Outback--not a restaurant we usually frequent. Service by Patty superb . . . .visit by the manager to follow-up. Lobster was prepared as if I was sitting in the Caribbean. I was pleasantly surprised--and will return!

We stopped one evening and ate in the bar. The atmosphere was casual and friendly. Will was an excellent server and we enjoyed our meals. I had chicken piccata and enjoyed the remainder of my large portion for lunch the next day. Others at our table liked their lasagna, shrimp cocktail and rigatoni as well. The owner, Jason Gray, stopped by our table and told us of his plans for private parties, new wines and lunch in the near future. Try Giasoneâs and you will be pleased.

I had the cheese steak and loaded fries. It was OK, but I'm not in a hurry to go back. The service was fast and friendly. The cheese steak had way too much bread for my liking. The sandwich was good, but not like a real Philly cheese steak from Philadelphia. I was spoiled eating those things and this does not come close.The fries were loaded with cheese and bacon. The cheese was the canned heat up type. At least the bacon was real. Total cost was $10. There are plenty of other places in the area where you could get a better meal.The place needs a good cleaning. There was only two other people in here and there were a dozen tables that needed to be wiped down. The stack of trays had been wiped down with a wet rag, but were not dried off. Nice stack of them all wet and growing germs. The floor could use a good sweeping and mopping too.
