We came here on account of the high reviews and were so disappointed. It was our last day in Turkey and after having a string of good meals, we had an idea of the prices and quality of the meals. This restaurant failed on both. Firstly, we were recommended to get the âtasti kebabâ however were not told of the price. The price is not on the menu either. Beware it is 250 lira. They justify this by saying it serves two people but it is still very overpriced for two people with a side of rice, some chips and a measly lettuce salad. The meat was fatty and low quality. To add insult to injury, when the bill came it had 29 lira extra for âservisâ. When we questioned it, they removed it. Honestly there are so many better places to eat where you will not get ripped off. Last night we went to Pizzeria Pera and the food was SO much better and cheaper.

The restaurant is handily placed near our hotel and we had breakfast here a couple of days than rather in our hotel.They served a lovely traditional Turkish breakfast that kept us going all day until dinner.Owner was a rather lovely chap and very friendly too.Would recommend....

Despite all other customers being downstairs, Halit kindly opened the top floor so that we had a view of The Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. We were very well looked after with attentive but discrete service and were served delicious food. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Comes time to check-out and my credit card "would not go through". Also, there was a 32% charge "for the government". Fortunately, his greed got the best of him. I went back to the room to get another credit card. Asked the hotel and there is no 32% government charge. Also, the card did not go through because he cancelled the transaction as quickly as he entered it. Same on the second card. Simply, he was looking for cash versus a card.Just a very bad experience in Istanbul trying to be ripped off. Be wary!

We chose this restaurant on the basis of the great reviews on tripadvisor and were not disappointed. Seemingly a trait of the friendly waiters in Istanbul, the server was chatty and helped us choose dishes for dinner, without being too overbearing or hanging around all of the time. The restaurant was clean and we sat outside comfortably with outdoor heating keeping the early November chill away. The only downside was the outdoor seating is very close to the road so cars do drive quite close to you. But if that bothers you, there is plenty of seating inside. We tried a local dish called Borani made with lamb and veggie riceballs, and a Turkish dessert called kunefe which is a sweet dish with melted cheese - sounds weird but it works!

Since it is opened recently, we wanted to give a try and four of us went for lunch. It was Friday and not busy. This is a large, two-storeyed, indepented building with a big backyard and all well decorated. The cuisine is American. We ordered a combo plate, nachos and rusty burger to share. Although taste is not bad, the over-fried pieces in the combo were disappointing at presentation. Some pieces were 3 some 4. Dips were dry. Nachos was okey with tasteless meat on it. Burger with smoked brisket was not bad. But... the service was total disappointment. Obviously we were sharing the plates and asked the burger to be served in four, the reaction was making fun of it. Why? Is it that silly to swing 2 blades? We needed to convince the waiter who were not willing to serve a burger for four. Not a busy time, ordering the third dish, whatâs wrong with that... Sorry but if your spending in decoration and interiors donât align with your service and welcoming, given the look and taste of your dishes, your service will only get first-and-last time guests...

I booked a table online as i thought would be more crowded since is number 1 in tripadvisor. Was empty but we got a nice table by the window. We were unsure of what to eat and follow recommendations of ennes. It turned out that food was really nice. We also got a lentils soup. Plates were really big and tasty. I would just say price is a bit high for turkey plus the views are really poor. Hope they watch out with that prices.Thank you!Cristina

I was going to meet with my friends at the theatre last night, which is next building of Sait Ä°skender Restaurant in Ä°stinye. I noticed the restaurant when I go to Ä°stinye Park Shopping Mall, but never been there before. I had a little time for dinner and sat one of the tables and asked an "Iskender Kebap". The service was good and my selection was excellent. The meat was very well cooked and the butter on the top was smelling wonderful. I mostly ate it together with yoghurt but this time it was a little different. Yoghurt came in a separate plate. It was so tasty and loved it very much. The price is moderate. Parking space available.
