Dunston's Prime Steakhouse is Dallas's oldest steakhouse. Established in 1955, by Gene Dunston, this steakhouse has become a Dallas institution. Gene and his family still operate the restaurant today. Dunston's Prime is famous for mesquite grilled steaks,
I grew up in the upper Midwest, with quaint steakhouses, where you received an excellent meal without breaking the bank. Dunstonâs is easy to find, plenty of parking - and safe! Flying solo, I called ahead to make sure they had availability for one. I had read the reviews that this is a steakhouse that is reminiscent of âold Dallas.â I was warmly greeted and promptly seated. Quaint, clean environment. All of the patrons were happy and enjoying thei meals. The cocktails are generous. The wine is not expensive. The steak was amazing!!! The sides were fantastic as well. My dessert was two scoops of delicious vanilla ice cream. I was told to order fish the next time I eat at their establishment. They have been in operation since 1955 - family owned. The owner at 88 years of age still works! Fantastic restaurant, excellent meal! Loved the experience!!!

This restaurant is located on the top floor of the Hilton Anatole in downtown Dallas. The views are exceptional. We were seated right by a window overlooking Stemmons freeway and all of the skyscrapers of downtown Dallas. Due to the extended daylight in June, we were unable to enjoy the lights, but nevertheless it is an impressive view. In a nutshell, the service was probably 3 1/2 to 4 stars taking into account the overall presentation of the restaurant. If I had one complaint, it was the fact that the first 20 minutes of our experience seemed to be rushed. They brought out our appetizer and salads at the same time, so I had to request our server to please slow the pace down since we were anxious to enjoy the experience and were not in a hurry. There was not a lot of interaction with the service staff. There was very little in the way of personalization. The food was very good. There was a nice breadboard to start things off. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was presented with two different cocktail sauces: one red bloody Mary and one white horseradish. We split the baby iceberg lettuce wedge and it was very tasty. My wife had the 6oz. fillet and although it was slightly underdone, it was well seasoned and very tender. I had the pork chop which was perhaps the best pork chop I have ever had. Cooked a perfect medium with a very tasty demi-glace. We also enjoyed some excellent Mac and cheese as a side dish. Decided to go ahead and have dessert. My wife ordered the pineapple tropical bread pudding which she pronounced as very good. I had a glass of port. I did notice that the price that was charged on the check was two dollars more than what was listed on the menu. I pointed it out to the hostess on my way out of the restaurant. The prices are on the high side. Typically, that does not bother me as long as it is reflected in all levels of the experience. I would probably rank the food 4 1/2 to 5 stars and the service 3 1/2 stars.

Based on previous reviews, I selected Vila Brazil for a business dinner. Our group had come into Dallas for our meetings and I was looking for a good place for our 8 person group to enjoy a good Brazilian dining experience. We received friendly, personalized service and the food was excellent. Although this is not as big and fancy as some other Brazilian restaurants, they did a great job of taking care of us and the price was very reasonable. Although the exterior appearance is non-descript, I know we were in the right place when we walked through the door. Everyone in our group was very pleased with the decision to eat here and I would certainly return to Vila Brazil given the opportunity, whether for business or pleasure.Thank you, Randy! So glad we could help you out! We are glad we could get your whole party attentive service and a delicious meal. Happy everyone was so happy with the choice and we hope you'll all be back for more soon!Sincerely, the team at Vila Brazil Restaurant

Cool River Café is... an upscale steak house and southwestern grille set in an elegant dining atmosphere marked by fine woods, dramatic ceilings, large stone fireplaces and hand-crafted chandeliers. Our private dining facilities provide a refined ambiance
Had a company Christmas party here. Nice space with plenty of room. Definitely seems to be a local hotspot (it was packed on Tuesday night) and very Texas inspired.Wide variety of food options and it was good. Service was a little slow and/or forgetful. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Cara! We are so happy to have hosted your holiday party and hope to have you in again soon.

It's been 5 years since I reviewed The Keg, so I think I can go ahead with an update, to say that this restaurant in particular never disappoints and always delivers first-class food service and value. We been here multiple times in the past, and it always hits the right notes. Somehow, their beef is always exactly perfect in taste and preparation, the extras always excellent, and the service is top-notch. We are continuing fans.Kay,Thank you for the five star review!
