We visited Chicoâs on a Saturday evening and thankfully we had booked a table as the restaurant was full.Staff very attentive and arranged for childrenâs meals to arrive with adults starters. Fantastic menu and locally based sea food. The mussels and crab claw starters were beautiful and huge portions. I had prawn linguine from the specials and husband had steak. All beautifully cooked and seasoned.Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and well worth the 4hr drive from the midlands to visit.Great evening had by all, thanks!!!

This is my second review for Porterhouse and unfortunately it hasnât improved. It has been two years since our last visit so we thought we would give it another go for lunch and we wish we hadnât. Both my husband and I ordered a sirloin steak. His well done (which is so wrong in my book) and mine was medium. The food arrived and we tucked in... only to find mine was over cooked. I informed the waiter who apologised and asked if I wanted another. Obviously I said yes - whilst waiting for my food I continued to eat my chips and side dishes. Eventually my 2nd steak arrived and was cooked perfectly the shame was by now I wasnât that hungry but did manage it. When we asked for the bill he asked how our meals were. I was in the ladies at this point so my husband informed them that my 2nd steak was perfect and his was ok but not great. When we received the bill we had only been charged for one round of drinks. Not sure if this was a gesture of goodwill or they had forgotten to add our 2nd drinks so we didnât say anything. Will we think of giving it another try.... absolutely not!

We are a family run restaurant in the heart of Great Yarmouth. We have an extensive and great value menu to suit most customers. We are always willing to adapt our dishes where possible to suit your needs so please do ask. We also offer many gluten free d
We were staying a boat on the Broads, we needed to stretch our legs and we needed to eat. We walked through the town centre as most places were closing; we found ourselves on Regent Road, full of typical seaside town shops & eateries. We decided to take a chance on The Regent because the frontage was extremely welcoming. I'm glad we did.The young girl who served us was exceptional, very attentive and friendly. The menu was substantial with lots of fish/seafood options. The dishes we ordered were lovely, very tasty and very obviously fresh. If there is any negative, it's only a little one and it was that the dining area was very warm, even with the doors propped wide open. Otherwise, definitely worth a visit.

The food and service at the Beefeater attached to this Premier inn, was the worst we have had any where. The evening meal was served up by rude obnoxious staff, the manager made Basil Fawlty look polite, the meal was inedible, even the 2 children in our group of 5 were unable to eat it. We all had different things, so it wasn't a case of one of us being unlucky. I had a beefburger with pulled pork. The pulled pork looked like something my dog brings up when it is ill. The chips were nearly cold. needless to say we didn't stay for pudding. Tables were left uncleared for the whole 2 hours we were there, and you will gather from, that how long we had to wait to be served. We had paid up front for the meal package of dinner and breakfast and were dreading going back in the morning, however the staff at breakfast were lovely completely different from the ones of the previous night and the breakfast was ok.We have stayed at various P inns over the years, but they have been the ones with the restaurant within the hotel, will never make this mistake again, have always said what great value P inns are, but this one fails by the beefeater it uses. Only one word for it DISGUSTING.
