If you are staying at the Gran Odara hotel you are within walking distance to a truly great restaurant. If you are just back from the Pantanal, the menu and the quality of the wines, spirits and food will warm your heart after a diet of beans, rice and shoe leather beef.Four of us went for lunch and after a short wait, which we took advantage of to tour the wine room with Daniel the sommelier, we were seated. The table is "outdoors" but under a roof and there are air conditioners to keep the heat to a minimum. Excellent Zinfandel wine was had along with outstanding steaks cooked to perfection. The bill for four came to about 250 reais each which is not cheap, but I didn't feel that it was out of place for the experience. Entrees included smoked jabugo ham, melted cheese and steak strips. The service was professional, courteous and the attentions of the manager much appreciated. A house caipirinha, made with three types of citrus, brown sugar and premium cachaça was, as the locals say, uma delicia.Highly recommended when you are hungering for a real steakhouse.

We were recommended to come to this square for a choice of restaurants and after initially choosing a very busy one we abandoned it as service was just chaotic so chose this one across the road. Service was incredibly slow- even by Brazilian standards- and most waiters were just hanging around chatting. The burgers, when they finally arrived, were tasty.

Had an evening meal here when staying at the nearby Taina Hotel. It was great to see chips on the menu as we'd been staying in eco lodges in the Pantanal where we were served rice every night. There were three of us in our party and everyone enjoyed their main course. Puddings though don't order the cheesecake unless you want a small portion. It was about half the size of the torte and chocolate brownie with icecream . The chocolate brownie unfortunately was rather burnt and couldn't all be eaten. The staff were friendly although they didn't speak much English. The steak house is situated in the shopping mall, (newly opened) and has plenty of shops. They take credit cards here.

O restaurante tem atendimento perfeito, e a comida... perfeita! As porções são de ótimo tamanho, e recomendo a polenta para começar!

I ate the Madero Bacon and it was well cooked, juicy and had a great sauce. What a combination with a crispy french fries outside and soft inside. Try it!

We ate here because we were staying in the nearby Hotel Gran Odara and because of the positive reviews on TA, but were to be very disappointed. It almost scrapped an "average" because of friendly staff and the reasonable salad buffet, but the reason for going to a churrascaria is to eat meat, and the meat here was pretty awful, being both tough and for the most part pretty tasteless. I would not return.

Barbecuing at home is a family tradition. We rarely go to "churrascarias" as a family as everybody prefers, by far, our classy home made barbecue. As an executive, I go with certain frequency for business lunchs. We had lunch at Gaucha in Cuiabá we were delighted with the top class and elegant service. For those who know "churrascaria's" service may agree that they are usually close to invasive to say the least. At Gaucha, well trained waiters constantly supervised provided to us an alegant and extremely efficient service in a busy day for them. The beef, lamb and pork as well the salad buffet were impecable. Particularly, the lamb was 5 star restaurant style. In Central West Brazil, "churrascarias" are everywhere and offer an ample range in terms of quality. Dont expect modest prices but dont expect to regret.
