It is located approximately 115 miles (185 km) southeast of St. Louis and 175 miles (282 km) north of Memphis. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the city's population was 37,941, making it the 16th-largest city in Missouri, and the largest city in Southeast Missouri. An emerging college town, it is the home of Southeast Missouri State University.

The place was not crowded, so decided to give it a try on our visit to the casino. I ordered the special which were beef spare ribs and scallops with gouda mac and cheese. The beef spare ribs were tough and fatty. The scallops were good, but the size of a quarter. The mac and cheese was good, but didn't think it was worth $35 paid. The service was pleasant and good though.Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, we always want to hear about our guests experiences while dining with us. We are happy to know that you received top-notch service, but we wish that your overall meal had been excellent. We are happy that your scallops and mac and cheese were tasty. My friend and I had lunch here today and it was fantastic! The salads were fresh and plentiful. The hot dinner rolls with butter couldn't have been any better. We both decided on the hand-cut rib eye steaks with baked sweet potatoes. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and of good quality. (No gristle or excessive fat in either of our steaks). We didn't have any dessert, but all of their selections looked to be nice sized portions. One of our favorite go-to places for lunch! Check Logan's out...you will be so glad you did! My friend and I had lunch at this restaurant. The waitress couldn't have been more pleasant. She kept everything filled without us having to ask for anything. Hot rolls were served with butter as soon as we were seated. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, baked potatoes were hot and tasty. Salads were plentiful and full of fresh veggies. Slices of buttered Texas Toast was also served with our steaks. Desserts were reasonably priced and they even had free soft serve ice cream! Prices were well within reason for all the food you received. Excellent steak house right off Independence Street near the Kingshighway intersection, next door to Walmart Neighborhood Market. Enjoy!

Sundays in the Cape are hard on tourists. Stopped into The Bar for a late lunch of burgers and fries. Good thing we were in the door before they closed at 2pm. The burgers were alright. The Famous Bar Burger (not to be mistakend for the department store) was big and messy. Unfortunatley, the napkins are not particulaily absorbent - paper would have been great. The fries were good, crisp and soft in all thr right places. On Sundays they only have steak fries (not the big planks) while during the week you can choose shoestring.Service was friendly if a little scattered.

Recently had dinner with a group of nine. Everyone ordered some kind of steak, and as usual, no one was disappointed with their dinner. Each person commented that theirs was cooked just like they ordered it,Service was pretty good for our large party. One server, a guy with a knot of hair on top his head must have been newly hired. He had trouble figuring out who ordered what when he brought out the dishes. Other than that, 2 thumbs up for a good experience.

We enjoyed lunch at this restaurant today. Our food was well prepared and very tasty. Salads were full of fresh lettuce and even had diced hard boiled egg, along with other delicious fresh garden vegetables. Steaming hot rolls with honey butter. What more could you ask for? Our waiter was awesome, too!
