We went here for lunch on a Saturday and were not disappointed. The waiters were friendly and helpful and spoke English. There was a set menu available for 20 euros which included starter, main, dessert and bread. The goats cheese and walnut salad starter was very generous and crammed with pomegranate seeds. The cod main was delicious, as was the steak. A large dish of profiteroles finished things off beautifully. The wine was good quality and reasonably priced. Well worth a trip away from the Rambla.

Is it the charcoal grill in the dining area, the motorbikes hanging from the roof or the fabulous food? This was one of our most memorable meals in Spain and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Highly recommended

Can Josep is a restaurant for locals. On previously visits to St Pere we had not been able to get a table. Now, we reserved and there was space. Such is life, I suppose! The Daily menu is lovely. Fresh locally sourced food. The grilled chicken was as succulent as can be. One of us is vegetarian (not the most easy thing in a brasa restaurant) and they made her lovely grilled veggies. The local house wine is good and great value. As Arnie would say: We will be back.Highly recommended (and make a reservation).

Having driven from Santander we had arranged to meet friends at this small back street restaurant. We arrived a little late. They weren't there. Perplexed. Then text message suggesting that they were but that it was closed. Even more perplexed. We were there, they weren't and it was definitely open. Turns out they'd gone to the old premises, closed three years ago! When eventually they turned up we had the bigger of the two fixed menus. 5 starters and two mains to share. It's meat, meat, meat, all the way. And it's very good meat. Steak and ribs, served Argentinian medium, bloody rare to the rest of the world, but with a very hot iron grill plate so you could singe it a bit more if required. Very good, inky black Malbec wine. 10/10

Apart from being a lovely place to eat, this is also a really good wine shop. The variety is almost overwhelming. There are extremely reasonable wines and cavas made by the Celler itself plus a full range from young and inexpensive to advanced wines, cavas and liquors. There is also a range of local products, such as ham, cheese, honey but also soap. The owners are lovely and happy to try to speak English. Thank you for your opinion!! We now improve a better cava that you may taste!! Our English is not at the same level as the cava!! Hope to see you soon!

Parrilla del Pou Nou is a traditional restaurant located in the little town of Canyelles (at the road between Vilanova i la Geltrú and Vilafranca del Penedés), where you can eat typical food of Catalonia, for example you can eat "calçots" and do the "calçotada", a menu which include calçots (more or less large onions) with a romesco sauce, sausages with beans, some types of grill meat and catalan cream. The menu is good, but you can not eat all calçots you want, I remember that you can only eat more or less 12 calçots. It is a good option to taste typical calçotadam but I think that there are some other restaurants in Catalonia (for example near Valls), where this typical menu is better.
