Reviews on Steakhouse food in Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States. Known primarily as the only place in the U.S. that manufactures Corvettes and for the large ancient cavern that sits in the center of the city, Bowling Green has built a thriving tourist business on cars and caves. At the General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant, visitors can see the step-by-step production of America's favorite sports car. The Corvette Museum includes one-of-a-kind prototypes, that were designed but never manufactured, among other Corvette memorabilia. To view awesome creations made by nature head to the Lost River Valley and Cave. Take the underground boat tour, on the shortest deep river in the world, to see a land formation that is more than 10,000 years old and has been used as shelter by Native Americans and Civil War soldiers. Though Bowling Green never officially left the Union, it's home to a number of historic war landmarks, exquisite old homes and remarkable buildings that can be visited on foot or by car during a leisurely drive through this beautiful part of the country.

The parking lot was pretty full when we arrived, but to our surprise we got in quickly. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I had eaten at other Logan's before so I expected a great meal. I ordered the six-ounce top sirloin medium rare. However, when it came, it was more medium well. But since we had waited awhile for our food, I ate it and didn't send it back. My husband ordered a medium rare ribeye, and his was perfect! One of our friends had ribs, which he really enjoyed and the other had a chicken salad which she enjoyed immensely. The rolls were fresh, warm, and delicious and the side salad I ate was fresh and delicious. I just would have enjoyed it better if my steak hadn't been overdone.

From the outside looking in this place looks like your average local restaurant. We went here for dinner with friends and from beginning to end we were all pleased with every aspect of the visit. First, there wasnât the feeling that they just wanted to get you in and out to seat the next group. We had the time to sit and relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Appetizers were very tasty. I got the filet mignon sandwich with a salad. For this time of year the salad was very fresh. The sandwich was perfect and the fried ice cream was a very nice finishing touch. This was our first time there but definitely wonât be the last.

Went to enjoy a nice Birthday Dinner with family. Steaks were excellent. Hatch chilies and fingerling potatoes really great as were the Brussel sprouts. They put a Happy Birthday placard on the table but at the end of our main dinner, the server just brought a check without so much as asking if anyone would like coffee or dessert to finish. Service was lacking and I paid our bill in kind. Brusters was great. I will return to Brusters but not likely to revisit Hickory and Oak.

We were the first 2 customers at their 11am opening, soon followed by one other customer. Server took drink order, brought drinks, then disappeared. Finally came and took order and then we waited until 11:45 to get our food. Weâd ordered from the lunch combo menu so one would think theyâd be prepared to serve this in a reasonable time. Iâve found this is common service in many restaurants during non peak times. The servers donât need to hustle so they donât. This isnât a place I can return to on an hour lunch break. Food was mediocre.

We got into town late and were "starving!" This place was packed on the Saturday night before Christmas but we didn't have to wait long for a table for 3. We all had steak and my mouth is watering a little bit just writing about it. GO!

Aside from an incredibly good server, there's little to lure you back to this restaurant. Although its menu and prices seem to want to be a fine dining establishment, the atmosphere itself is strictly college beer joint -- blaring music, central noisy bar, people shout-talking to be heard. Definitely not a pleasant dining experience. Food itself might have risen above average had it not been served barely warm. The rotisserie chicken was cooked through but barely lukewarm, and the grilled asparagus was cold. Dining partner sent back a baked potato that was simply too cold to be edible, but the steak was apparently freshly grilled because it was the only thing served that was hot. Desert cheesecake was served with frozen strawberries (no excuse) and a too-strong chocolate drizzle that destroyed the taste of the cheesecake, which, albeit with a somewhat soggy graham cracker crust, wasn't too bad. Would not return.
