I went with my family of 6.we enjoyed their steaks and a table salaad.kids also ordered milkshakes as well.service was prompt. On site parking as well.outdoor covered terrace style with patio heaters .
Visited the restaurant last night with my partner.. Who has been keen on visiting the restaurant for the past two weeks after seeing the hype and pictures on social media.. However.. The food was average.. A solid 6/10 and the service was terrible.. From the waiters to management.. A poor 2/10. The staff in essence was very isolated from the customer. Our waiter did not check up on us at all. We had to ask for our table to be cleared. Our mains also came whilst we were still having our starter, when we questioned same, the waiters response was eish.. I don't know.Doubt we would be visiting the restaurant again.

Excellent rib eye steak. Cooked medium to absolute perfection within a fair time. And the accompanying mash was a smash hit. Stunning sea views. Very clean , and friendly staff. Right next to the holiday inn express.

Spoil your family & eat out at Chippewa Spur (Halaal), we are the best steakhouse & burger restaurant in Berea. Bring along your kids for some great tasting food & dessert from our famous Spur menu.
Went for iftaar during Ramadaan. The menu was adapted to cater for iftaar do was limited to a few options. I think it was not a practice option as they did not provide anything to Break fast with knowing that they could never cater for all the orders to be served on time.. Waited over an hour for our order and had to jus drink water till it arrived.. Clearly they cannot cope I'm under these circumstances, so should at least provide some dates or snack like some other venues offering the same service.Dear Ferial,Thank you for taking the time to review our Chippewa Spur restaurant. We're so sorry to hear that this was your experience. That certainly doesn't sound like the level of service we pride ourselves on.If you wouldn't mind forwarding this review on, together with your contact details to [email protected]. We'd really like the opportunity to discuss this further with you and hopefully turn it around. Kind regards, Spur Steak Ranches

Come with us on a visual, taste sensation like no other. Whether youâre stopping by for a light salad or you need to feed the beast, weâve got you covered with the tastiest, heartiest
Well... where to start? After having to look for our booking in the book for about 10 mins, and questioning us whether we did actually make a booking, my wife, myself and some friends of ours were seated in their "Smoking Section" (which in reality is the sidewalk in Florida Road). We were greeted by our waiter (who never gave his name, most likely on purpose) whom I can only describe as inept. He did not know what beers were on offer, struggled to listen to his patrons, and made assumptions about what we were going to say before it came out of our mouths. We asked what IPA's they had on offer, he offered us a Castle Lite :/ After ordering our drinks, they came in drips and drabs... 1 drink at a time, and in total it took about 45 mins for all 4 of our drinks to eventually arrive... He then took our food orders, but to our disappointment, a few of the starters were not available... Which would have been fine if the waiter knew at the time of ordering whether they had stock or not.... but he didn't, and we only found out after 20 mins of waiting. Our starters eventually arrived, cold and tasteless... We would have left at that point if it were not having ordered mains, and them arriving about 30 seconds after our starters were finished... we decided to stay and eat them, even though we didn't have high hopes at this point. Needless to say, our disappointment was realised, as the food tasted like something from a much cheaper Apache themed restaurant.... The waiter then took another 45 mins to take our plates away and get us our bill... I don't even want to get into the details of the waiter ignoring us while he was flirting and sitting down at the table next to us... This was most likely the worst dining experience I've had in a very long time... I cannot and will not recommend this establishment to anyone...Dear Stefan, thank you for taking the time to do a review, your feedback is very valuable to us We are extremely disappointed to hear about your poor dining experience at our Butcher Block Branch in Florida Road. This most certainly is not up to our usual standards and I shall be addressing this with Store Management. Are you able to provide me with a few more details such as what day you went, what you ordered or your bill number so that we can find out who your waiter was. Did a Manager come and check on your table at any time? On behalf of Butcher Block I would like to offer our sincere apologies and would like to invite you back for a complimentary meal in the hope that you will give us the opportunity to redeem ourselves and give you the dining experience that we expect for all our customers. Please can you send me your contact details to [email protected]

Big Easy Wine Bar and Grill, is a place to relax, meet friends and enjoy some of lifeâs extravagances. The Wine Bar, offers an expansive selection of South African premier wines along with fine whiskies, craft beers and some of the worldâs choicest cigars
We enyoyed this place. PArt of the Hilton hotel, it is a bar and grill. The wine and food is expensive for Durban, but cheap by UK standards. The wine is based on Ernie Els' winery. We had a great burger, and good cocktails. The staff were friendly and cheerful. Perhaps lacking local flavour - no venison, for example - but a nice warm safe place to beDear Shawnh552Thank you for swinging by the Big Easy! We are delighted to hear that you had a brilliant round with us! We appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back to our fairways in the near future. Kind RegardsScott

Butcher Boys, an elegant upmarket steak restaurant, opened its doors in Morningside, Durban in November 1999. This sanctuary for meat lovers serve the best grain fed beef South Africa has to offer and our wet & dry aging process results in exceptional qua
Our first visit was great. All we could ask for, superb, perfectly matured and cooked ribeye steaks (the recommendation of our waiter) and a bottle of well priced Malbec. Service was efficient. We liked it so much we returned the next night. We normally have a rule "never go back". I wish we had stuck to it! The service was appalling. We enjoyed some very tasty biltong and were asked if we were ready for our mains straight away. We said we were, but 30 mins later they hadnât arrived. When they did, my burger and chips were barely warm, my partners steak bore little comparison with the previous nights. The waitress seemed a little out of her depth, not her fault, perhaps management should take a look at the training and supervision of its staff.Would give this place 5 stars for the first visit, only two for the second.Thank you for your feedback @crellston - consistency is key at Butcher Boys so we are disappointed to hear your 2nd visit was underwhleming. We have fed back to the team - its certainly not what we like to hear but we do appreciate the feedback.
