We are a couple from England and Spain living in Norway. We were looking for really good steak and good wine and this place exceeded our expectations. Not only was the food experience excellent but also the service and the attention from the owners. If you are near Moralzarzal, you should definitely try El Fogón de los ArrierosWe wish you all the luck and Happy New Year full of health and success!Glenn and Victoria

The Sierra de Guadarrama is normally known for its meat, but this Andalusian-style restaurant is a little gem for those who love fish. The starters were all excellent, especially the tuna tartar and oxtail croquetas. They cook most of their fish on the grill and the salmon was done to perfection. Desserts didn't disappoint either (the carrot-cream topped cheesecake was very good). Good, if short, wine list. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient (it wasn't very full, so hard to judge). Amounts were generous and take into account that they serve a couple of tapa-type plates before you even start. Price is not cheap, but not out of the ordinary for Navacerrada either. Will definitely be returning tom try everything else on the menu. Definitely recommended.

El Molino is an experience you will not normally find, its uniqueness to Guadarrama and probably the Madrid area. It is located on the outskirts of Guadarrama, secluded down a small country road about 50m.When you enter, you feel your entering a museum from the 18th century due to its design; an old working barn. On entering you feel the grand openness of the Restaurant as it expands about 40m from one end to the other. You are instantly met by the waiter who shows you to a table (of your choice), get one by the big open fire :-) You will see a good selection from the menu including vegetarian options. There is no Menu del Dia so it can be a little more expensive than the standard local restaurant, however, this isn't your standard local restaurant which I pointed out to friends eating there. The meal servings are bigger than your average and service is pretty quick with hot home made food served. We tried a selection from the menu, including; mushrooms (fresh), croquetas, vegetable pastel with prawns. All yummy. The price was a little on the expensive side, however for great tasting home cooked food, what would you expect, especially in a Restaurant isolated from the town/city.When we ate there, we were the only ones in the restaurant, some people say its uncomfortable (not sure why) but i would say fantastic.....without the normal noise from typical social eating (normalmente hay mucho ruido).

Been to the La Chimenea a few times whilst on holiday, at both lunch and dinner time. It's a lovely restaurant, great tasting food and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend going there for a meal.

Algora is an elegant restaurant, simple and charming. Located in a renovated 1856 offers Spanish cuisine with special mention of fish, red meats and roasts. It also highlights the temporality of products such as hunting, mushrooms and vegetables. Peaceful
Food was very high quality. I had Salmorejo, very nice and creamy, it was my favorite. Pastel de cabracho, grilled goat cheese, grilled vegetables, all this as starter to share. Portions were very big.As main I had duck with sauce of red fruit. It was well cooked and sauce was very tasty.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
