We're are picky Mexican food snobs. (Have lived in Texas most of our lives) I cannot rate the restaurant on Eat-in facilities, although I'd imagine it would be a fine experience. The food, in a take out mode is excellent! We've ordered just about everything on the menu, from fish tacos, to tortas, to beef burritos, etc. Everything is excellent, every time, and the price point is right on. We also love Tacos El Norte in Lake Zurich, and the food at Raul's compares, quality wise.

Tapas Calpe is a unique blend of a neighborhood tapas restaurant and wine bar within our full-service butcher and wine shoppe. This European old-world combination of butcher shop by day, tapas restaurant by night creates a charming and intimate environmen
We ate dinner there on a Saturday night. The food and wine was excellent. The service was excellent. There was a minor issue with our bread plate (a hair on the plate), they apologized, brought us a new plate, and then poured us two glasses of an excellent wine as another apology. The glasses of wine weren't expected but appreciated. The plates are almost all tapas style. They are a big variety of Spanish and Italian food. Lots of meats, seafood, vegetables, pastas, salads, etc...It is reasonably priced too.

The food will be brought to your table.Enjoy chips and salsa while you waitThe food is excellent (especially California style) and the prices reasonable.I took a closer look at the unusual wall decor. Those are redeemed frequent diner cards, folks, representing -- I assume --lots of happy customers.Don't delay -- you can be a happy Cuco's customer too.

We have been going to Carlos âRiver Side Café ever since it opened and known him since he worked at the Wauconda Café and always gave great reviews. A few years ago, Râ¦. came into the picture...and now she manages the place. She was recognizable by cool white -rimmed glasses she normally wore. She was always very nice, albeit business -like...we liked her. On our last visit we ordered what we have been ordering here for breakfast for over 15 years: Chilaquiles. We were served an order clearly smaller than usual and without the normal shredded lettuce and sour cream. We politely mentioned this to R...., expecting her to correct the situation. Instead she became very annoyed and said the portions were normal (even though it was obvious they were not) and that they never included lettuce and sour cream at breakfast (even though for over 15 years they had!). Then when were given our bill we noticed that we were charged $2 for the second portion of âfreeâ salsa we ordered because our meal had not come yet (even though there was only one other occupied table at the time and they never ever had done this before in the over 15 years we had been customers). She informed us that this was a new policy. I politely pointed out that they should have informed us at the time we requested the salsa and requested she drop the charge. She became more annoyed and rudely refused. This is not the Râ¦. we used to know and hope she seeks some helpâ¦. until then we plan to never go back to a place where we are so poorly and rudely treated by management.
