The pace was packed with spanish locals on a sunday as we wandered looking for somewhere to eat.Yet the waiters found a table for us inside in a lovely air conditioned dinning room.We had two menu of the days. A huge pawn salad that would probably cost the same as the entire menu of the day in any another restauant boquerones and chicken with veg and gorgeous cheesecake to finish.all delcious and ridiculous value and quality. For under ten euros each. Now i can see why this place was packed. We will certainly be back

My husband and me visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and it always has been brilliant. On Sunday the 19th of October 2014 we went for lunch with 10 friends. Kids had a great time in the huge swimming pool as well as getting splashed by the see waves. Restaurant is just by the sea but not on the beach as massive rocks separate the seating area from the water line. Views are splendid and so is the food and service. The best fish baked in salt crust ever. Be prepared for a wait. To cook fish in a salt crust takes about 45 minutes to an hour. While waiting for it to be cooked you can have some of the delicious tapas or starters like prawns in tempura or spinach fried balls. When fish is ready the waiter brings a side table to your table, breaks the salt crust and fillets your fish in front of you. The result is a very moist flesh of the fish really good. You could have dorada (sea brim), lubina (sea bass) or galupe (red mullet) Our fish came with patatas al pobre which are slowly fried potato with onion and pepper. We also ordered large plate of grilled vegetable to share. Highly recommended. Bare in mind that at the moment this restaurant is only opened for lunch Wednesday to Sunday

We had lunch here and what a wonderful experience it was - from the service to each dish that emerged. Prices were reasonable as well.A small bowl of olives were provided at whet our appetites - followed by shared tapas and main courses for each - every dish was not only presented beautifully but was delicious. The chef came out to check on us as well which was very nice. You will not go wrong should you choose this wonderful spot!Thank you very much for choosing our restaurant, we were pleased that everything was to your liking, for us it is a whole bunch of small details that we believe that they have to take care of so that our clients feel at home.Thank you .

Excellent wine, tapas and dinner. We went there twice during our stay in Velez. The atmsophere is relaxed and welcoming and the service is friendly and professional. A big thank you to the very kind and helpful Vladimir!

Amongst the best steaks that I have had in this area. Unfortunately they are primarily a lunch time restaurant, as it the way with many of the real local eateries. Speaking as one who doesn't do large lunches and prefers to eat their big meal in the evening means that since they are closed most evenings can't go as often as I would like. But on the occasions that we have been the food was top class.

Chose the restaurant as it was opposite the Hotel Torremar where we were staying for one night. Service was friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, well presented, and portions were generous. Reasonably priced wine list.

First restaurant of Mangoa Catering group. With the Michelin star awarded chef Juan Quintanilla leading, we offer typical Malaga-style cuisine with a new vision: the best local and farm products mixed with the new techniques. Something to taste!

Excellent fish and seafood selection. Extremely popular but very accommodating and it was not an issue being squeezed in on a table or even at the bar. We have been several times and it has always been great. Recommend the paella and the Russian salad. Thank you very much

We stumbled upon this restaurant while driving on the highway. Normally, we don't risk eating in a 'truck stop' but this was very, very different. Lots of local families gathering for a weekend lunch means that the place must serve good food. And it does! Great steaks, lovely patatas, extremely good grilled vegetables. What we also liked a lot was that they have a decent choice in smaller bottles of wine. That's good thinking if you're so close to the road! We had to wait a while for a table and for the food, but the service was with a smile. Made us feel very comfortable!Thank you for your comments and for your visit. It is a pleasure for us that you liked our restaurant and hope to again go through here. A greeting.
