The menu is very short with only a few tapas but the prices are very cheap and the portions enormous!!We ate the eggs (huevos), one portion is made with 6 eggs (half portion 3 eggs), fried bacon and potatoes and the beef (buey) which is ONE KILO of grilled meat of very good quality, delicious! You can also order paella and other rices but it takes 45 minutes to prepare (it is possible to order it to take away). The restaurant is located in an old wine cave with massive barrels. The waitress was very kind, genuinely nice people.

A lovely and friendly restaurant. The staff were very attentive to non-spanish speakers. Some of my group had the Paella, which they enjoyed. I opted for a steak which was cooked to perfection. Quite possibly the best steak i've ever had. Top marks

The Orihuela brothers opened La Fontanilla in 2004, descending from a traditional restaurateur family. Set in the historic heart of Valdemoro, La Fontanilla restaurant has a privileged location in town, in the heart of La Villa neighbourhood and opposite
We had walked by the Plaza de Santa Ana, the previous night. We wanted to have drinks and tapas, listen to the street musicians and enjoy the warm night. We accomplished all of that. And we picked La Fontanilla as the place to sit. Perhaps it would have been different if we chose to sit inside. The tables and chairs that dot the plaza are serviced by a number of restaurants that circle the plaza. I suspect our lack of quick service was true of all the locations. Although many of these restaurants have a service station on the plaza for linens, silverware and basics like water, that doesn't mean they are manned the entire time. Our wait between items like drinks, appetizers and checking out stretched into long periods of nothingness. The drinks finally arrived. So did the food. Getting the bill was like pulling teeth perhaps they hope that while you are sitting there you will order another drink. In any case, the night was a success because it was fun watching the people. listening to the music and enjoying a light meal. But I might try someplace new the next time we want to sit in the plaza.

Quaint specialties served lovingly by attentive staff that make for a good and robust meal for the long hard road. Would repeat 10/10

We went to Chiron in March for Father's Day, and got the special tasting menu. All of us (6 people) agreed that it was an average restaurant. The food was just ok to good, service only ok (not very experienced staff, at least our servers) and the place wasn't very fancy nor pretty not... anything special. I suppose they've had better days.
