I tried this place because of restaurant week and will go back for sure! The Four Seasons reputation did not disappoint. From beginning to end we had an incredible time. We sat on the patio that had amazing views. Service was so excellent and everything was perfectly timed. The presentation of the food was like what you see on TV and everything we tried was delicious!!!!We also got to talk to the manager Anthony Papa who actually brought us our desserts. We were just locals trying restaurant week and were treated like VIP’s.The regular menu prices are very fair for this type of resort and I will be back for sure!!!! It is not just dinner but an experience.

First - this is a gorgeous setting. Staff is attentive and wonderful. Service impeccable. The menu fairly short but it was the end of summer in Phoenix. We had dinner and breakfast here. Our impression is that the chef is trying too hard to create something "different" and coming up with some strange offerings. I had the branzino - fortunately I am a small person and small eater and I had enough but most people would have found it ridiculously tiny - maybe 8 inches by 1.5 inches and 1/4 inch thick?. Flavor okay but nothing special, to me anyway. It was served over a pea puree which was pretty good, but laced with raw peas which were as hard as rocks. $45 for the plate seemed like should have been more fish? Decorated with cherry tomatoes and fried shreds of potato. My partner ordered the tomato/crab soup ($15)which was way too spicy to eat and the crab was perhaps a teaspoon of shredded crab floating on top. The waiter did warn us it was spicy but we like spicy - but not like that. To their credit they did whisk it away and not charge for it. My partner had a chicken dish which though big enough was not to her liking either - also with a rather strange orange coating and very dry. We did have a wonderful chocolate desert which was complementary for a special occasion and much appreciated. They do offer I think 3 steaks which would perhaps have been a better choice. We used to eat here fairly often but some years ago when they had a different chef and the offerings were innovative but also delicious. If you've not been here for a while be warned that the food has changed.

Unfortunately I do not eat much “heat” and the Peruvian Stew was very hot so our server recommended the Mahi tacos. I ordered fish grilled and although cooked well the portions was more appropriate for appetizers and not a meal with minimal seasoning. The tacos are advertised as fried and come out twice the size so there must be a lot of batter. I would not order again. My husband, who is able to eat spicy food, had the stew and it was too hot for him. He ate the fish but left the rest. The yuca bread was okay. The guacamole looked fantastic and I would recommend based on everyone’s response. It might have made my tacos more flavorful. Enjoyed seating outdoors in back patio.

We love authentic Mexican food and consider ourselves “foodies”. Barrio Queen was one of the BEST meals we have ever eaten. Our server, David, was extremely helpful and friendly , without being pushy at all. The chips and salsa are fresh and amazing. My husband had the mango Fresca which was delicious and I enjoyed the tasty house margaritas. Hubby had the chili’s en nogada.... absolutely delicious, so different from anything we’d ever eaten. I picked the award winning conchinita pibil. WOW!! It was the best tasting pork we have ever eaten. So moist and flavorful, and not a bit of fat. We both enjoyed the dish and took home 1/2 for tomorrow. To top off this incredible meal we shared the chocolate cake. On a huge bed of vanilla bean ice cream the cake came with a mini pitcher of the most Amazing homemade chocolate/cinnamon sauce. OUTSTANDING!Thank you to the wonderful staff and cooks for an amazing experience!Hello LoveTravelOrlando_FL for your awesome review. We love to hear that you enjoyed are food and drinks.
