Reviews on Spanish food in Santiago de Cuba, Santiago de Cuba Province, Caribbean. Entertainment can be experienced in a variety of ways in Santiago de Cuba. Your ears may find comfort in the Casa de Las Tradiciones, a venue of the Trivoli neighborhood where Cuba's finest musicians gather for improvisation; your mouth, in Paladar Salon Tropical, where mainstays of the national cuisine arrive in generous portions; your eyes, in the Jardin de Los Helechos, home to a floral explosion of 90 types of orchids and 350 types of ferns. The gentile Tivolí district, some of Santiago de Cuba's most exciting ensembles, singers and soloists take turns improvising. Friday nights are reserved for straight-up, classic trova, à la Ñico Saquito and the like.

Sports Bar and cafeteria. Automated POS system with over 8 TV with live sports, Ambient Sound in 3 zones, this is a Fusion Sports bar with Fully stocked Bar with international drinks available. Fast food and Great Night LED light Show. Unique to Santiago
Although a seasoned citizen, I had a very enjoyable experience at this friendly, youth-oriented sports bar-restaurant on Avenida Manduley in the Vista Alegre neighborhood of Santiago de Cuba. I enjoyed two very well-made dry martinis and a very delicious tuna salad. The place was hopping with students enjoying spring break.

I have to say that this was one of the best meals that I ever had in Santiago. The dinner was a delight. The place is in the Santa Barbara district sitting on the top floor of a house with some views at certain tables. My only complaint was the very long wait. There were only a dozen other people there, so they could have at least given us our appetizers to ease the stomach growls! When the food arrived after what seemed an eternity, we were pleasantly rewarded. Overall, a fine establishment. Will go back.

This establishment is just a few steps away from the more famous Salon Tropical. It has a much different feel in that the tables are in a garden-like setting with plants/bushes separating eating spots from one another. Somewhat on the funky side with the different colored lights and and many ceramics on display. Both times we ate here, we found the food to be quite good and not skimpily portioned either. I quite like the privacy aspect to eating here. This may not be an eating option for those with a insect or critter phobia though. Good service and decent pricing. It is recommended to have a taxi on call if you are in need of transportation because this is not a busy street/area.

Spanish tapas, cuban fusion, international music and live music on weekends, great vegetarian options as well. amazing atmosphere, central location.
Tapas is apparently newly-opened - we ate there at the end of March 2018 and the sign from the previous restaurant was still up. The food was excellent. It is cooked by a chef who has worked in Spain, and so is a fusion of Cuban and Spanish, so some Spanish staples such as tortilla, and other more innovative dishes. Everything we ate was really tasty, and there are some good vegetarian options (including salad - after two weeks of fried everything, a really good salad was like nectar!). The atmosphere is fun, service was friendly and attentive (thanks, Celia) and on the Friday night we were there, the band was excellent. Cocktails were moreishly good, and prices for everything were very reasonable. We went back two days later for lunch (same menu, equally good).Thank you so much for your review, we hope to see you again, saludos from Celia!

This is a beautiful restaurant, elegant surroundings and in a very pleasant neighbourhood. The service was excellent, and the food delicious. Probably our favourite restaurant when travelling around Cuba. We had a lovely guitarist who played for us (don't forget to tip the musician). I would recommend this for a lovely evening out.

We stopped here for lunch after spending the morning touring Santiago de Cuba. The restaurant is located on a terrace with views over the city. Our service was excellent. We had orders of grilled lobster and fish. The lobster tail was three times the size I would normally receive in the States and the cost was $15 which included a salad and banana chips. Definitely recommend.

An unforgettable dining experience that smolders, simmers and delivers the true essence of Santiago de Cuba captivating aromas spill from a BBQ spit of tender smoked cuts of pork, seared and drizzled chicken, and salted fish plated in traditional Cuban fa
Brassa is located inside a hotel. Its a little upscale, very good food--not overcooked-- and good service for our group of 11. A trio played Cuban folk music, maybe revolutionary?. If you know Spanish you will understand more of it than I did--the musicians were good. On a hot day, it was cool inside, restrooms nearby in hotel lobby. We walked around the town square before and after lunch, so it was a very pleasant stop on our tour.

International cuisine restaurant, traditional Spanish and Cuban dishes. In addition to pizzas, spaghetti and lasagna. It is a space created with a pleasant atmosphere to share as a couple, together with family and friends.
This restaurant is in a lovely former home, with an ambiance of informal elegance. For a foreigner, the prices were very good. My Cuban friends were impressed and delighted. I found the food to be good but not spectacular, so I only gave it 4 stars. This was an excellent choice for an enjoyable dinner out. Be patient with the servers.

We visited as part of a tour group for dinner and pretty much filled the whole place (19 of us). Food and drinks were really good and not bad value $46 for 2 with plenty of drinks and lobster main courses. Plays music videos on request - uploaded from internet on request! Would recommend if you fancy something a bit different for one night.

I have to say the food in this restaurant was actually quite good compared with that in the hotel back in Guardalavaca. The problem I experienced was actually getting it!The restaurant did not seem able to cope with our group of around 50 arriving. Orders were taken and drinks issued. Unfortunately they were incapable of of serving my main course until everyone else had eaten theirs. It reached the point where I said I would take anything just to eat and not hold up the others. It was eventually explained to me that someone else had changed their order to fish and they had been served mine. They did not explain why that person did not have to wait if they changed their order. In the end I did 'catch up' as I finished my dessert before many others.I felt the time wasted in the restaurant would have been better spent in seeing other attractions in Santiago.
