Reviews on Spanish food in Sant Joan de Labritja, Balearic Islands, Spain. Sant Joan de Labritja (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsaɲ ʒuˈan də ɫəˈβɾidʒə], Spanish: San Juan Bautista) is a village and municipality of the Balearic Islands on northern Ibiza. Among others, the resorts of Portinatx and Cala de Sant Vicent are located there. The actual village of Sant Joan is a quiet street, dominated by an imposing Christian church, and is the meeting point of Sant Joan de Labritja Municipal Council. One may find several small cafés and restaurants (including the locally well-known Vista Alegre, as well as a taxi rank, outside the Municipal Council building and the local office of the Guardia Civil, the Spanish Civil Guard. Towards the west of the village is the origin of the Torrent de Labritja, a tributary of the Riu de Santa Eulária, the Balearic Island's only constant-flowing river, although the Torrent only contains water during the winter months; throughout the tourist season, the stream is a dry river bed full of green vegetation.

Coming by boat, this little cove is a wonderful, magical little place to discover. The food is fabulous if a little pricey and be aware that they do not accept credit card, bring cash and plenty of it! The fish is exceptional, the ambience boho chic, happily devoid of music so you can enjoy the peaceful beauty of the place. Go.

Wonderfully creative tapas. Subtle twists on old perennials like Patatas Bravas and croquets and great original dishes , their version of the old staple of a mozzarella and tomato salad is practically a work of genius. The pork tacos were incredible. Just really exciting and surprising food. Very clever but using familiar flavours. A smallish menu so maybe not for over fussy eaters or those wanting overly familiar food but for anyone with a (slightly) adventurous streak this place is simply amazing. 5 tapas between two, desert and a bottle of wine will set you back around 100 euros, which for food of this quality is pretty reasonable. Oh and wait till you see what they do with bread and hummus.

We've eaten here on two previous holidays and the third time did not disappoint. I messaged the restaurant before we fly to Ibiza to ask for a table outside on the balcony for my husband's birthday. As asked they sat us outside and had put up a birthday banner and a couple of balloons. We ordered the 'clean' paella and as expected it was delicious!! It's a great place, with great food and great staff. A couple of days later we ate there again and had another delicious paella. We would highly recommend this place.

Within a wonderful enclave, ina plane between Santa Gertrudis and Sant Miquel, totally open to the outdoors with a great terrace with views to the nature and its main house. In our cuisine our stars are the products, our quality and a refined palate in te
We stayed at the Ca Na Xica hotel and tried different restaurants on our first two nights, both incidentally recommended by the hotel but below expectations. Thankfully we saved this delightful treat for our final night and it was right on our doorstep! We were greeted by our friendly and helpful waiter who gave us plenty of time to peruse the menus (wine, food and cocktails obviously ) after a wonderful aperol Spritz and Bloody Mary we were treated to some wonderful langoustines and the tastiest croquettas that either my wife or I had ever tasted. For main my wife had the delicious gnocchi and I had the most tender and delicious veal steak all washed down with a sublime Spanish red.I can’t sing their praises highly enough. When we return we will eat here each and every evening!

Stopped here twice as the local beach is a great destination in itself. Food and drink were amazing, service excellent, but the venue itself is a must-see: hammocks and comfy cushions all over the place and lots of space for little’uns to safely run around in.

When I book my annual trip to Ibiza, I immediately think of Balafia. I love everything about the restaurant. The unpretentious style, the lovely staff, the friendly owner, the beautiful terrace, the excellent food, the homemade aioli, the fresh tomatoes, the wonderful house wine and the mouthwatering hierbas. I love it!

We have eaten here quite a few times and the food is always excellent, coupled with the best service you will get in any restaurant. The gentleman that serves you is 'old school' and everything is served perfectly, he obviously takes massive pride in what he does, which is so rear these days. No matter what food you order it is cooked to perfection. Even the house red wine is lovely and at 8 euros a bottle is an excellent tipple. We would highly recommend this place, especially if you want a special night with your special person.

Think 3.5 stars is more accurate as better than ‘average’ but not quite ‘very good’. For our first night, we read reviews on trip advisor and thought it is #1 so why not! If it hadn’t been for the reviews then it is unlikely we would have stopped there as it is quite basic and off the beaten track. However Spanish holidaymakers / residents were in there which was a good sign.We ate pork cheek and roasted lamb shoulder. Both lovely. Gin ok but rose a bit dodgy.Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about local and fresh food. Was very quiet in there but waiter said lunch and breakfast were busy. Would we return - probably would if we were here for a week or longer but if less, then want to see what other restaurants can offer.
