This is a no frills local restaurant. Everything is in Spanish and no English at all. As a non-Spanish speaker, I had difficulty ordering food here but the owner lady was very nice and helpful. I ordered what the locals called poor man's steak in the end. The food was quite delicious and at the price of 4000 pesos, I just couldn't complain about it!

The ceviche was extremely spicy, with red pepper flakes throughout - when I tried to send it back I was told with a lot of attitude that i was in was a âPeruvianâ restaurant so it was supposed to be spicy. They wouldnât take it back and told me I should have told him I didnât want it spicy. The service was poor; I had to flag down waiters to get attention. Lunch at this restaurant was the low point of a beautiful weekend in San Pedro.

Highly rated in guide books, Export Bar is probably the only decent after-hours hangout in Atacama. Well, that's bad news if you're a night owl because every single tourist in Atacama must have been there the night my friends and I were there. Our hostel told us this was a regular occurrence. As a result, we waited over an hour to place our orders and for our dinner to arrive. The food was decent, as were the drinks but quite frankly, the bar is overrated. We were in a large group and some of our dishes arrived cold while others were lukewarm. Note: Some people in our group also fell ill the next day - we were not able to tell if it was the food at Export Bar or breakfast, which comprised a couple of slices of bread.

The restaurant is actually a minimarket but it sells very good empanadas warm or cold for 1300 clp. They are much better than the ones we tried in other markets and only half the price of places like Dulces de Carmen which are highly recomended on tripadvisor. We ate here every day of our stay. There are 4 types of empanadas: Pino (beef, egg, olives, onion), vegetariana (tomato, cheese, basil), pollo (chicken, cheese, green pepper) and napolitana (ham, cheese, tomato). Good value in an a place thats otherwise extremly expensive for south america. Furtheremore its quick which is good if your time is limited between a morning and afternoon tour.

Manada del desierto restaurant is a place where the essence of food is captured in each dish to offer the best culinary experience. A restaurant to live good moments around a gastronomy that fuses local ingredients, to satisfy the client with an explosion
We went there for the rooftop and we're pleasantly surprised by the good service and excellent food! I felt like eating a vegetarian dish: it was no problem to order 2 side dishes (roquefort polenta and frued vegetables) for 10000 pesos. Maybe little expensive, but hands down the tastiest vegetarian dish i eat anywhere in South America!

Best place to experience and enjoy a delicious "Chilean Empanada" and other kinds of delicious Chilean and international food. The place is small and familiar ambiance, the attendance is on the owners and the flavors have a touch of mastery of the Peruvia
Came for an empanada one lunchtime; enjoyed it so much we came back another day for another. Very good value too. Also came back for a take-away coffee as they do really good coffee, and our hotel didn't! Heard 'Katarpe' mentioned by several others in our tour group, all of whom raved over the empanadas!I should mention it's a small place. We had to queue outside the first time we went until a table was free, but worth the wait.Thank you for visiting us and for dedicating your valuable time to leave us this kind and complete comment, it fills us with joy to know that our food to people from all over the world, you are welcome every time you wish to return.
