This is a CLASSIC catalonian cuisine restaurant in a classic countryside house (massia).I have been going there for the past 20 years every time I travel to Catalonia and the service and quality have not changed.Do not expect fancy dishes but what in Europe call "market cuisine". Their specialty are wood grilled dished (meat or vegetables). If you love escargots, them make them really goo.

It was a Thursday for dinner when we entered the restaurant at 14.00h. Still some people had vacations, because it was that early very busy and we hadn´t reserved. Lucky us there was still a table for 4 left. However not all the plates were available. We wanted to order arroz, but then we had to wait long or start with the main course first. The sole was rather big, but my pollastre was the half of a leg with some slices of potato and a delicious sauce. First course, main course and desserts all very tasteful, but moderate quantity for a big eater like me. However, what may be expected for 10⬠including Vat, wine and water

14 of us dined here on our last night staying in Sils at Villa Can Brugues. This is a family run restaurant and the food is cooked and served by very friendly and helpful members of the family. Our Catalan wasn't good but they were great at explaining the dishes to us. Much of the produce is fresh from the family farm including fresh courgettes in my starter of courgettes with goats cheese and a basic jam (homemade by the waitress who served us) and was delicious. All the food was well cooked and the portions are generous. We had everything from fresh prawns to hake to peppers stuffed with cod. There was something for everyone including adults and children and for meat eaters and vegetarians. Puddings were delicious. Kids went for profiteroles, but there were ore unusual dishes, most of which were home made. I had an amazingly light cross between a pannacotta and yoghurt with a home made fig jam. The service was good, the wine went down easily and it was a very relaxed evening. Perhaps olives or a tapas would be a better welcome snack than crisps, but that would be my only criticism. The restaurant only opens in the evenings at the weekend but the owners say that they are very busy for their paella lunches. If you are in Sils, please visit - it was lovely.

We arrived when the restaurant was supposed to be opened since a while according to the info on the internet, yet 6 minutes before 8pm, so the waitress told us to leave and come again on time(!) which we did. Although the restaurant was completely empty, she did assign us a certain table with no free choice. We have ordered a menu composed of starter/main dish/desert/beverage as we have seen at other places in different cities in Spain. The only difference was the price which was considerably higher than elsewhere.

We've visited this restaurant last year as well, and 2 times in August this year and every time we had great food + a nice atmosphere. Great (Catallan) wines available as well (we liked the Tempus very much). Separate kids menus.Live music in weekends is reduced to only once a month I believe, due to neighbour complaints (noise). It's not the cheapest restaurant we visited, but it does have a good price/quality.Evenings only open wed-sat

A must in Riudarenes. Typical catalan decoration and food. Let the owner suggest you the recommended dishes of the day and enjoy delicious Catalan food.Expect around 35 euros per person with dessert and you can skip supper that night

We have now been to this place twice. We are a challenging group of 25 people from 87 years old to a 1 year old and this place delivers every time. I am seriously impressed with how they manage to serve us quickly, with great food and with great service. The food impressed us all!! You can imagine that with that many people you have a wide range of likes and dislikes yet, they miraculously did it all!! So much so that we came back again and I am sure we will be back another time before our week vacation is over. Food is great and local and fresh! The fish, the squid on the grill, the veggies on the grill... it all is fabulous!! Highly recommend it!!

Authentic Catalan food in a breath-taking setting. A family-run friendly restaurant in a stunning 300-year-old farmhouse. Grilled meats and vegetables, fresh pasta, good wines and very reasonably priced. Lovely service and they catered very well for me being gluten-free.
