This was a pleasant surprise to say the least! This restaurant has set itself apart from all others in Punta Arenas because of it's flavorful food and great service. Unfortunately, both of these qualities are hard to find. To top my delicious meal off they gave me an after dinner drink.....on the house! When was the last time you were treated to that. As I said, this restaurant is very much worth your time and money, enjoy!

The restaurant looks like an old victorian house and inside they took great effort to make you feel like traveling back in time. We just loved our waiter who also recommended the best wine and food. The seafood was right on point and very nicely prepared.

There are several restaurants within the El Mercadito (2nd & 3rd floors) to choose. We ate at the Cocineria for lunch, and had three delicious empanadas (shrimp, crab, scallops). Menu offers a wide selection of food, all at reasonable prices. Service was friendly, quick, and English spoken. Short walking distance from where the cruise ships dock. Hope this helps for your next visit.
... to indulge with a good chilean food. It is situated inside the old market, that is renewed, where you can find some others small olace to eat. In old times it was called "cocinerÃas" and were where fishermen used to bring their caughts and cook them

Itâs a tiny menu with a few dishes but they do them really well ! Iâve been travelling across South America and had some amazing ceviche and this one was as good if not better than most !!We also had the shellfish soup (the only soup they have on the menu) which was great as well.Paid 10000 pesos for the meal, would definitely go again!
