The best tacos in the city. In an excellent location, surrounded by the jungle. The best place to relax and enjoy real Mexican food in the Caribbean. We have 5 kinds of different Tacos and Burritos, and Guacamole, and Nachos, and everything you need to ha
Loved the whole vibe at this food truck part. We had the tacos as it was the only authentic Mexican food truck and we like to stick to authentic dishes when we travel.Tacos were good and a pretty good price. However, the Taqueria was the only food truck that took cash only- getting pesos in Tulum was nearly impossible other than going into town which was kind of a mission. He took dollars but completely bent us over in the exchange rate. I understand it was us that didn't have the pesos, but given every other transaction we had in Tulum, this was the only one that wouldn't take credit and offered such a low exchange rate- so really the tacos ended up being over $24 USD for 2 orders.Would come back, but bring pesos in cash!

We stopped in here just to check things out and we were pleasently surprised...Diego is a solid bartender and even better person. It's a fun atmosphere with great drinks. We can't wait to visit again.

I find that TA is usually a good reference. However, I was really disappointed with this pick.1st the good. The manager and staff were super friendly. Loved chatting with them in Spanglish. And the ambiance is really cool. And the Tuna tar tar appetizer was delicious.2 the bad.We we're the only two in the restaurant. If imagine that are good would have been perfectly cooked. There was no one else to focus on.This wasn't the case. The seared tuna was rubbery and over cooked. Edible. But barely. And for $450 I expected a delicious entree. My filet mignon was over cooked and not the best cut of meat. But I was hungry so I powered it down. The $30.00 local bottle of wine wasn't to far from being used as red wine vinegar. This we didn't come close to finishing. The back of the restaurant has natural hemp ice cream. Perhaps this is an acquired taste? But in my opinion kinda gross. If you go ask to taste the wine before ordering a bottle and I'd keep it to appetizers. They have some work to do to make this place worth what they're charging.

Visited this restaurant in February 2013. After visiting Mexico and eating in numerous restaurants I must say, that it hat the best guacamole and cheviche (fresh fish-lobster mix). Once you have managed to pass those bumpy roads from Tulum to Puna Allen, then Fisherman Fishing Lodge is a right place for you!PS! Restaurant manger Mike Ledezma is also very friendly and helpful and even though restaurant was full of visitiors, he had some minutes for us!

Had dinner Tuesday nice and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere to match the beautiful food. Started with pineapple margaritas that were so fresh and well crafted they rivaled any of the best cocktail bars in NYC. The tapas and entrees were some of the best that we have had in Tulum.

Everything about our dinner experience was enjoyable. Food tasted great. They had sophisticated choices for adults and simple tacos for our kids. Bar selection was nice with fresh IPA and Margaritas. Will eat here again on this trip. It's that friendly and good.

In La Malinche you will find Mexican products from different regions, such as the Hermosillo shoulder tortilla, Yecapixtla cecina, Oaxaca grasshoppers, cochinita pibil, regional sweets and many other things from all over Mexico.
This place is not the most inviting or appealing at first glance. So much so that on our first attempt to visit, we ended up walking passed and going somewhere else because it was deserted and looked like a food poisoning situation. In hindsight that was definitely a mistake. After getting hungry ond afternoon and after looking at some reviews, we decided to chance it and weren't disappointed. Ice cold beer and cheap tasty tacos with lots of options for fillings. Served with different sauces of differing spiciness as well as extras that you can add to personal taste. The only thing missing was some fresh lime which would have made them perfect. C'est la vie.Good thing you decided to come visit La Malinche! never judge a book by its cover;), thank you very much for your comments we send you a cordial greeting.
